A poem... about a mouse. 4 pics.

There was a mouse

And he was in our house.

How'd I know?

The cat told me so.

He sniffed the grate

in the wooden floor.

He hovered and watched

and came back for more.

The man said a trap

would fix that mouse

before it died in there

and stunk up the house.

Kill the mouse that hides

from the cat?

I think not, now

scat, scat, scat!

A sisal tube ladder

replaced that grate,

A live trap was next,

fake cheese was the bait.

A box went on top-

to prevent his escape

a heavy book and labels and

more weight from the grate.

The box served 2 purposes,

to contain that mouse,

and keep nosy cats from crawling

into the skeleton of the house.

Back to the TV,

Ghost Whisperer was on,

sewing on buttons and

eating bon-bons.

It wasn't 4 minutes

before that trap was sprung,

he got tossed into a compartment

with his cheese, it was done!

He went for a walk

to a brush pile outside,

happy to be with his family

and alive. No thanks to Woody who wanted to smash his little head with a snappy wire!

the end
