Free at last and adjusting

Relaxed around the house is an understatement. Returned from the in-laws absolutely stress exhausted and still letting things go. Have come to terms with letting my Mom live her life's journey. She sounds happy to be with her grandchildren and all the fussing being done around her - so I'm happy for her. Maybe after all is said and done this has turned out for the better.

I have been purging and cleaning down to the bone in this place as of yesterday. I normally only have 1 garbage bag - today I had 4. More to go. This entire house needs to be washed down and painted. Junk to be cleared. I can finally focus on getting this done and it feels great.

Finally having the time to do this and actually finish something feels good.

I wish the best for my Mom. Having strange dreams about my sister which are scary. Must still be working the emotional stress out.

One day at a time. Mom and I call each other regularly.

Sorry I'm not posting as much to respond to other posts, I've been busy around here.

All my best to all of my KTers - whatever your situation is if you don't see me, I'm there in spirit giving you support!

Good for you Peg. Like they say, one step at a time. I do know how good it feels to actually get something done. It's very empowering. Keep up the good spirits!

Yea Chad...fun to have a reason(or 2) to go back outside! Ryan They for sure have become more cold hardy-the Waggie,Nainital and Fortunei were all uncovered last spring when it hit 5F at the airport north of here- I think in my yard it was 12F...there was no damage(no spear-pull) to these 3,I believe I made a post about it,there was a slight ring on one of the Fortunei leaves and a rainbow burn on the Nainital...it also snowed like 5" the day before. Here is a shot of the damage to the Nainital from last spring from the cold and snow-this is obviously the portion still in the area where the spears emerge.I think they can take at least 3-4 days below freezing with snow now-probably more-hope they won't have to this year. It is a Nainital and I believe from the same batch as the one you have if I am remembering correctly...? It was bought as Takil back in(I believe)2008* Here it is right when I first planted it... I think once the spears are over an inch thick it takes a lot of cold to sever the spear,thats why the little guys pull so easy,the little spears freeze to easily.

Well I was not so sure I believed this would work. I was in pain for over 2 weeks. The dr. said he did not know what to do . Someone on this forum said something about putting a bar of soap in your pillowcase next to your leg ( I put mine in a pillow sham, won't slip out that way.) I am here to tell all that I am a believer. I was just told I have diabetes,last week. So I was worried about having permanet damage to my legs. I have told everyone at work about it yesterday, so we will see. I work in a child center and am on my feet all day, but everyone could not believe the pain I was in Monday and then the difference it made in me in two days...I can go play baseball with my grandboys now!!!!

Good for you. Sorry to say, our LG had to go after 1 week as it was way too noisy! We changed to an Kenmore elite & for the first load it was really quiet. I hope to never have to report on it again unless its positive news. Good luck to you, our GE's always lasted a long time.

My other 'to do' was to check in with my family doctor. Going later today (filling cancellation spot) to talk about things and how I'm feeling rundown but trying to get back on my feet.

It's important I look after myself too. So check that off my list today.
