In general they don't like heat so I would probably vote for #1 since it will be coolest - south side of building is always hot. I have currants in different spots and in the hotter spots they defoliate sooner. #4 would be best but thats a lot of work. Scott

Warm weather - spotted in my garden

This warm weather has been wonderful. It was so warm the past few days that all of my Monarch chrysalises decided it was time to eclose. I didn't think that they would eclose at all since the eggs were laid the last week in October. It was a beautiful site to see. I also spotted some lady bugs today. My daffodils are up to about 6 inches and my forsythia is budding out. Spring is around the corner. YES! Sorry, but I can't help you with your vole problem. Good luck!

Susy: Glad you mentioned the warm water in the oven. I have put this in before but some may not have saw it. I've built Proof Boxes . In the Pizzeria I built one that held 50 Pizza Pans. Had a small Hot Plate with a can of water, on the bottom. Ive also used A small undercounter refrige, that didn't work, for Proofing dough. Some of you bakers might be able to find one, to use. It has a light bulb outlet and shelves. Perfect for Proofing !!! Put a Pan of Warm water on the bottom for Humidity. A Cooler Chest can be used also. Put in a very small light bulb, lay it in a bowl. Or a cup of warm water. That's it I Quit, Lou

She knows where it's nice and warm. The cat I got from my DD likes to get on top of the cupboard over the refrig. There's about 18" between it and the ceiling. Heat rises, so she goes up there where it's toasty.
Cute picture. I'll have to try and get on of Coco next time.
