Thanks so much for organizing such a fabulous swap over on exchanges.

I have loved seeing what everyone received. Very thoughtful and creative items were exchanged and new friendships forged.

We're in Canada now for a few more days then back home :( and :) I absolutely LOVE British Columbia. I could move here tomorrow!

I finally have Internet service after 10 days. I didn't think I'd manage but I did LOL. Now I get to use it for just a few more hours then without again till I get home.

Our Alaskan cruise was so relaxing. Other then every port being chockful of jewelery stores vying for your money, I really enjoyed the experience. Next time though, we plan or renting an RV and seeing the interior.

And when I get home, I have my CSA delivery on Wednesday and it's back to healthy fast and fresh veggies again after all the cruise food.

I just checked out the Official Job Description Manual listing for "Minions, Assorted & Various," and the Picking Blueberries portion is optional, Kate. So...I guess if it is going to cause dissention in the ranks, Marcia's Minions no longer have to pick blueberries. Seeeeeee...I'm a kind and generous SpiritGuide/ProcrastinationPriestess/Queenie! I can be MOST benevolent when I need to be. Therefore, no need to turn in your Minion Membership just yet. I rather enjoying having minioning going on whilst on road trips with you and Nicki. Makes me feel Queenly an' all! *waving regally, but kindly* Marcia (Who still has NOT planted a single thing...but who thinks having the excuse of not feeling well yesterday will get her off the hook. Going to do better today, for sure!)

I am ape over my nanking cherry, too, and loving that delicate foliage! I'd like to pop mine in a five-gallon pot as well, I hope it will do alright. The only sad thing is that gorgeous peony plant. The dogs broke it off at the base, but I planted it anyway. Please come back next year, little peony! Everyone was planted in a nice square of earth, all prepared and filled with earthy goodness. I suspect that the lavender came from Dee directly. I'm going to use my little bulb of Applegate garlic from Lilacs tonight with dinner. I want to plant it, but mainly I want to eat it! Oh, and we brought home FOUR gourds!! Started with one and left with four...no idea how that happened, really................not really, I do know, I waited, waited, asked, waited, and then took more :) My boyfriend said he really liked you Kansas gals, "I liked them right off the bat." I liked everyone I met and wish I'd had more time to chat with you all. I really wanted to talk with Amester more and share info about our friends new cancer book, which is chock full of info on how to take care of yourself for prevention and especially on how to keep it from coming back. But, it was a long day and poor Darren looked like he was going to tear up while you were talking about your experiences. His aunt is starting chemo in six weeks and just had her bladder and uterus removed, so it is a touchy subject at the moment for him. I wish we had had time to stay longer, but thanks to Lindy-Loo for giving us a mini-presentation on the soil!! I wish I could remember the names of everyone we met...there was Alice, Lindy-Loo, SingCharlene, the lady who mentioned the flying spaghetti monster, the Kansas gals, Amester, Azura, the couple looking at the tomatoes (one in hat one with perfectly curly hair), CatLady, wasn't there a Ginny? oh, I can't remember!!!! Glad we went, how is that?

Hello All; I still owe Ann some plants as they did not make it in her birthday box but I am leaving on a trip tomorrow until Friday night so it will have to wait until next week. That will at least stretch her month. I am also going to send to Ellie as there are all times when we need that extra boost. She also sent me a wonderful box on my summer birthday. I just went to her page and she has nothing listed but she says she likes flowers and edibles. That gives us lots of leeway. I will check the information I stored on this group in case she filled one out before and I kept it. Anyway, I do have her address if anyone needs it. I also want to do a holiday swap in November or maybe we want to send a little something to everyone that is still part of the group. There are very few of us left I am afraid. Any other ideas? diene

I just noticed that the last package did arrive - from Germany - but it's still not over yet because Ann will be giving a prize to one of the participants. I know you are not eligible, but I have to tell you that I am very much enjoying what you sent me! I still have some photos to take a post, as I did put that quote in my kitchen window. It seems to help scare away the fruit flies.

I'm saving the balsamic vinegar for when our apples get ripe - that is my favorite way to use it, and we should have quite a few apples this year.

Thanks again, Ann, for your organizational skills - something that does not come quite that easily to me.

Ann, This was such a fun swap! I really do appreciate all that you do to keep our community connected here on the CF. It means a whole lot too so many of the particpants. I decorated my 4 top dining table today and used the handpainted napkins that you sent me. Maggie just looked at me and said "I think we shouldn't use those napkins...they are just to pretty to mess up!" Thank you for a wonderful package and a fun fun swap!

Which reminds me, I have to go over to exchanges and see the rest of the packages!
