Dal....yellow leaves as you describe might be the result of your soil. If i read your location correctly, you are in New Mexico....and soil in south-western states is generally alkaline in nature. Heavy alkalinity can induce iron deficiency..."chlorosis"...which causes plants to go just the way you describe...in their leaves. If you believ you have overwatered, that is easily fixed by letting the plant dry down more.....but if you feel the soil might be the problem, consider feeding your plant a fertilizer which will correct the chlorosis. Iron Chelate is usually how its described on the package. Normally, balanced fertilizers contain sufficient trace elements to help avoid such chlorosis. A rusty nail, put into the soil beside the plant can often do that job...provides iron to the soil.

I've posted a photo of this room before, our mstr bedroom. The walls are BM Hawthorne Yellow and there are several green fabrics (toile, check and a yellow/green stripe) in addition to the green and yellow moire silk curtains. The furniture is a hodgepodge of off white (caned French bed), a painted coffee table in the seating area, and (second photo) scrubbed Dutch pine. I think it looks especially nice with the yellow and green. The photos are not very good, sorry...the second one was taken at Christmas, so I could remember where I put the Holy Family!

Darn, I can't get your link to come up. I even tried searching on that number on my pinterest but still can't find it.... The only thing I would say is I have fallen in love with colors, both from my monitor, and from hundreds of heavenly descriptions, only to be disappointed in the results in my home. So definitely sample it in multiple walls in the room. In fact, I always put a good wide swath on one wall, and adjoin it another on a bordering wall so I can see how the color reflects off itself...

My medium toned outdoor granite counter has done just fine for 7 years facing west and south-west in Southern CA. No roof over it. You just have to remember that it is an outdoor element and will be dirty most of the time. Ours also has a grill next to it so it does get some grease and marinade on it too, which I'm not that diligent with cleaning. I'm due to go out there soon with my Clorox with Bleach and give it a good scrub to get rid of the oil/marinade stains. They come out, but since they are baked in by the sun, require a fair bit of scrubbing. Most important is the glue that they use for any built up edge, as most glues will deteriorate in the sun/heat. Mine wasn't done right and last year a GC, that was here working on my inside kitchen, fixed the outside bullnose that had come unglued, using the correct products.
