Kids bath: Window or Extra foot in bedroom?
Comments (14)Thanks for the responses. My daughter has a full sized bed, a nightstand, a longer dresser (under 5 feet) and a tall dresser (2 1/2 ft wide). I will post a pic of the layout later when I get back from finishing my Christmas shopping. Oaktown, in your 5ft wide bath, does the tub sit on the exterior wall, so the window is in the tub area? That is one of the options if I go with the 5ft wide and keep the extra foot of space in her bedroom. I don't love the idea of a window in the bath- and with the shower curtain drawn (they like shower curtains vs. glass) It probably won't be effective. If I go with the 6ft width, then the bath will be on the long wall, and the window will not be in the tub area, it alongside the tub....See MoreKid Bedroom Furniture Thoughts
Comments (3)Back in the day we had two sets of bunk beds and a desk and dresser in our room. Three girls. The "desk" had a mirror and dad told us this is where you spend ALL time doing your hair and what ever--no bathroom. So a desk can be used as a dressing table is what I learned and I had similar "rules" for my two girls as they got to be that age. I too found a quilt hides all ills and is easy to make a bunk bed up with. AND when they are of the age they have more success making their own beds with a fluffy quilt/duvet to cover the not so perfectly taught sheets. My two went through several phases of the beds being bunked or not. Because they are bunk beds doesn't mean they can't be used as two singles. Go with the beds you have and let the girls decide as they grow how they want them to be. Options are a good thing. A dedicated space for studies is optimum..all three of mine preferred the kitchen counter/seating area. BUT all three stored much in their desks...and took them with them when they left....See Morewhat color bedroom furniture goes with silver strand paint in bedroom?
Comments (6)Thank you Ingrid! Love the color accent choices and especially the terracotta idea. Maybe I can Incorporate the color with the bedding and pillows. Looking into artwork. Would the headboard be light or dark if the furniture is black?...See MoreMaster Bedroom - White Walls - Distressed Black Bedroom Furniture
Comments (4)You may want to start saving inspiration rooms you love; it will really help if you have a direction. I would purchase the rug fist vs bedding and cushions so you have a style to build on. Be sure to use various colors, patterns and textures so it feels more interesting The headboard is high and I think art above each night stand would be more complimentary and use small brass lamps for a modern look. You could add the sign on another wall If you need a bedskirt, a more tailored style would feel more modern Dresser and tv wall - mirror, plant, chair, art, baskets...See Moreamysrq
