Which trim for wall washing with H36RTAT

I've got some of my best help here, but I still feel clueless.... My living room is 19x14 1/2 with 8' ceilings. What type of trim should I use for wall washing? I plan to use four 5" Halos in the center of the room for general lighting, two 3" H36RTAT in the front of the room with 3001 trim (so not to interfere with the TV) for some accent around the sides of the TV, and some wall washing trim evenly spaced along the back. However, the back of the room is L shaped so it might be better to use two different types of trims. I don't have anything on the walls yet, but would like to find some art, pics, or shelves in the future.

My questions:

1) Can I use gimbal trim as wall washing (until I get some decorations on the wall)?

2) What is adjustable slot aperature trim used for?

3) What is crossblade reflector used for?

4) What is the more popular color trim for white ceilings, white or black?

I realize these are basic questions, but I'm not finding many resources on the net (with exception to this site).

1.you can use a gimbal for wall washing.
2.A slot aperture can be used for wall washing or high lighting art, but with a smaller aperture to reduce ceiling glare.
3. a cross blade reflector is used the reduce ceiling and direct glare
4.white is ,by far, the most common,but ,at the same time, results in the worst performance,due to ceiling surface glare.They may blend into the ceiling when the light is off(but how looks up to a ceiling anyway), but they become glare bombs when the light is on

So, in your opinion, would you use black trims instead of white? I have an off white ceiling (might paint it white).

I would use a model 9424-15, which is the eyeball version. But if you can access a 20MR16 lamp with a frosted lens, the frosted coating will diffuse the light higher up into the cabinets. The problem with the eyeball fixture is that you will get an intense concentration of light onto the cabinet facings, which may be distracting to the eye.

I can't even imagine washing all my walls, although I guess I do it in the bathrooms if I notice hair spray or toothpaste, and I'll wash wherever I've snuffed out the life of a poor little insect. My house was built as an allergy free house by the original owner and she had untextured walls, no orange peel, no nothing because her research showed that the texture was what held the dust. It's probably impossible to find workers who could install sheetrock these days without having to texturize their taping jobs though.

OMG. I am just finishing a master bath that has a wall hung toilet alcove just like yours, and its tiled in 12 x 24 gray tile! We have a floating vanity too! I will be posting a reveal soon. I opted to tile everywhere except the top section of the toilet wall. I will put some type of artwork there. The guy who did the framing came back yesterday to pick up some things and his mouth fell open when he saw the completed space. He said he thought there would be too much tile, but admitted that it looked wonderful. One reason I elected to do all tile was because it was difficult to determine where to start/stop the tile without having the space look choppy. I wanted a soothing contemporary look, and that's what we got. We love it. We used white trim around the windows and the door.

@Patricia Colwell - Thank you for being so active on this forum, you’ve provided feedback/input on almost all of my posts. We were leaning towards 5000K for lighting, which appears to be right in the middle, helping create a modern/clean feeling… any cooler, it would become institutional and cold, I assume it would start causing colors to go warmer than intended… you disagree?

White trims are,in my mind. a NO-NO anytime,as the trim is not for aesthetics , but rather for light distribution and glare control
