I just recently discovered this website, have any of you been there? It's really cute, you can get your own page very much like Pinterest is, or just browse around. I saw some really neat project ideas. I love creative idea sites.
Check it out, it's a good place to waste some time.

I love 'junk' sites, but you have to sign up to enter this one, so I won't get to see what's there.

I didn't have to sign up to browse the site. Don't know why.

I have been looking for an unusual piece to put in my bathroom to hold towels and such. I love the one linked below. I don't know why I didn't think of using a hutch top. I redid one into a bookcase for my living room, so why not the bathroom? DUH!

I love it, I'm so glad I kept all my old canning lids and seals. I wonder how the wreath would look painted pink and/or red for valentines day or green for st. Pattys or better yet red, white and blue for july 4th. Love the site thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks for all the compliments! Here I wasn't sure if purplemoon would covet the bunny or the gnomes. he-he Although knowing her, she might have those gnomes too. Actually I got the gnomes last year at the end of summer and was using them to pose on the top of the vase so you could see what the top looks like. Walgreens always carries some adorable gnomes and little figurines that are usually 2 for $5. The Restore (Habitat for Humanity resale stores) are great for buying tiles and grout for mosaicing, hardware for decorating birdhouses and the like, old sinks for water features, wooden shutters, glass ceiling light shades for mushrooms (or garden ladies' hats), old windows, balustrades, paint brushes ... and that's just the stuff I can think of off the top of my head. Ours also has old furniture and cabinets. I have looked longingly and some old cabinets and bathroom sinks thinking they would make a great potting bench. The only thing they price ridiculously there are their lamps. I saw a blue lamp that would have made the perfect base for a gorgeous totem but they wanted $20 for it and then it would have been 1/2 off but $10 is still too much for something like that. nonacook, I know what you mean about the dollar store things. I often see little figurines that look like dollar store finds at the locat thrifts and they want 99 cents or more for them. Our GW can be high too. You have to watch for sales. Our local GWs have a discount card you can get for free. They send you notices of sales or discounts you can get with your card. I have to get to GW before the end of the month to use my 25% off birthday card they sent me. My favorite second hand stores? The junky ones in old stores with low overhead and no frilly display racks and shelves. But I agree, rummage sales can be the best buys. Just takes a lot of lookin'!

Oh, compostchick, I love the shoes, boots, etc. and have done a few of my own. My planted my first set with impatiens and I brought them in for the winter. I recently picked up some clearance sedums and have done some more shoes with them. Recently, we were on vacation and went to the Arboretum in Lexinton, KY. Under a shrub, I found children's shoes planted with sedums. They looked like they had been there a long time and not taken in over the winter. I think Lexington is a USDA hardiness zone warmer (6) than me and I am wondering if I dare leave my planted shoes out over the winter. I've not paid very much for my sedums but I don't want to replant them again next spring. Sooooo... Please tell me what you do with your shoes for the winter?? We don't get much snow cover here and get a lot of freezing and thawing. Thanx, Barbara.

I co-own Cedar Creek Gardens and we have an internship program. We have a listing on attra. https://attra.ncat.org/attra-pub/internships/farmdetails.php?FarmName=&City=&State=SD&Keyword=&allDate=0&page=1&FarmID=3448 We also have 300 chickens that we raise strictly for eggs to sell at Farmers Markets, but if that isn't something you are interested in there is plenty do to on the vegetable side. We still have an opening. We grow organically and sell locally.

no I would never post one that you had to sign up for, I have spent hours browsing around on that site and never signed up for anything, but you can if you want to so you have your own page to add stuff to. I prefer not to.

Just start clicking and look at the various junk lol.
you can just hold your cursor over the explore tab at the top of the page and from there select areas you want to go to, like projects...

woodsy I love that hutch idea! I had seen it on the site.

Another I love are hall trees made from old doors and a little bench added to it to sit on, I like when they use the beautiful crystal door knobs as the hangers.

I absolutely love this Route 66 art piece it is made up of antique license plates from each of the states that Route 66 goes through. My husband loves Route 66 stuff, he got to do the decorating in our sun room and wanted to do it in Route 66 stuff so I said go for it. I am seriously thinking of buying him one of these in the metal art version. They are not cheap! But I think the metal would look better than just the art print or on canvas. The original is very costly and out of my limited budget. Since I didn't get him a birthday gift because he told me not to this would be a nice surprise.
