I have the Sea Gull Linear lighting in my kitchen. In my opinion, the more finished look of the Juno isn't very important. It's not something you're going to see unless you stick your head under the cabinet and crane your neck. I like the flexibility of the Linear lighting. While I'm not familiar with the features of the Juno track, I can't imagine that it would any more versatile than the Linear cable, which not only can curve, but can also be cut to any required length. It also allows you to place lamps along the cable at any interval that you choose, and there are a number of different lamping options. Mine are 10W xenon at 6" intervals. They provide ample illumination, are dimmable and don't throw off any noticeable heat.. Here's a photo of a section of my installation:

Be aware if you have granite and it has a shine to it. The colour of the fixtures will show up on reflextion. So if you get the white then it will show up white. We got the halogen since it came in black and we had them stain under the cabs the dark color of the cabs to hopefully minimixze the relection. I will tell you next week how it turned out......

Thanks davidr. Below is the wire I'll be using - the description says 10/2 stranded, so I should be ok. I'm actually a little dubious over their 10/2 claim as in person it looks like regular lamp/zip wire, but I'll go by their spec. It was the guy at the lighting store that said magnetic transformers are not affected by longer cable runs. Or maybe he meant that I'd need a larger transformer and those are only available in the magnetic type. Anyway, thanks for clearing it up for me. Thanks for the responses! It reinforces my belief that Seagull is a good system to go with. I just called their Tech Support and was told that I can use my current 120V wall switch wiring with a new dimmer switch that feeds electric to the transformer. The transformer then outputs 12V electric to the actual lighting system. The transformer can handle 2 line input for the track wiring so if I place an electric transformer in the middle of my L shaped cabinet area I can run the lights to a distance of 10 feet either side of the transformer before there is any wattage dropoff. The electric transformer has a max 150W load which should be more than enough for what I need on the that portion of my kitchen. Larger spaces need to use the magnetic transformers which carry higher loads and allow longer wiring tracks for lights. I hear that electrical is better than magnetic though if you can go with the load and length restrictions. My desk and butler pantry areas which are across the room will still need separate transformers and switches but that is acceptable to me. So I hope to start out by installing the Seagull system in my kitchen cabinet area first and see how I like it. Then will add the other 2 areas at that point. I still appreciate any additional input, comments or personal experience with this or similar systems. Love the information that comes out of these forums. It has saved me many times from making wrong decisions, plus it sure helps me to focus on issues I would otherwise not even be aware of. Thanks!
