We have fairly similar colouring as to what you are envisioning. I wanted light counters, DH wanted dark- we went with dark. The white stands out so much against the cabinets, that I don't think the colour of the counters would really make much difference one way or the other. I am pleasantly surprised at how much light the dark counters reflect- so in reality, it doesn't seem dark when you're in the kitchen, if you know what I mean, just rich- though my counters would fall in a 'medium' dark range, as there is a fair bit of colouring in the granite. Here's a pic so you can see how the white appliances look, maybe if you're good with photo-shopping you could change the counters to light? We're only part-way done, still have all the finishing details to do, but you can get the idea.

These are my pics of my countertops placed Friday June 22, 2018. I cried looking at these seams. It looks so cheap. Fabricator explains that's the way it comes. I explained that I shouldn't be able to see the seams so clearly. It looks so unprofessional. They ended up taking them back to their warehouse. In hopes they say if it is quality control will try and fix it just to make it look better. Otherwise I will have to pay an additional fee for them to come out again to install. I just don't know what to do and if still looks the same. This is the first time I've replaced my counters in 24 years. I don't and can't live with it. looking at this for another 24 years. It looks so cheap and it really was not it's a lot of money to me. I hope fingers crossed that they will fix this problem. They never told me that there would be such seams. I thought the edges were done by a machine and it would be all one piece. I have read up on this and now understand there are seams. But now I do know that they should not look like this. If they are good fabricator you shouldn't be able to see them so clearly. I will find out next week what happens.

In the first plan, I do like the closet placement in the master, but both bedrooms limit furniture placement. The Second plan makes furniture placement more flexible. It is unfortunate that as you walk in from the front door, you see the kItchen before anything else; at least the first plan leads you through the labyrinth to a view out the windows. And in the second, entering from the garage forces you to walk around to the bedrooms. If you could combine the half-bath and full-bath, you could have the laundry also be a walk-through to the bedrooms (and I just love having circulation opportunities in a house).

you might try putting in a bright bulb. 4000K led might alter it. If not, just get a new one. for 100-200 you could get whatever you like or keep the sink, get a remnant granite or marble for 50 bucks, and have someone install it for you otherwise, no, there is no way to tone down the granite color. it's a bad pick and should have never been used w/what else in the room. Don't work around it by painting and whatever else. remove it and get a new one. Just look for an off white quartz or warmer granite. you don't want a bright white. these prefab granite vanity tops in this color would work
