kitchen uc light help needed

I'm posting this to the kitchen forum as well, please excuse the cross post. We're in the final stages of redoing our kitchen and have a question about uc lights. We were planning to use the lights from our old kitchen. They are halogen but not pucks- they are the size of the flourscent fixtures. My husband got these for me as I have poor eyesight. We really like them but have run into an unexpected problem. Our countertops are a very dark grey granite called impala black with a gloss finish. When we held up the lights, the reflection of the fixture on the countertop is incredible. Does anyone have a reccomendation of what type lights we should use that might not be so obvious in their reflection. I was wondering if the seagull lights or something similiar might work better in this application.

Also, is it better to install the lights at the front of the cabinet or towards the wall? The cabinet people will be installing a light rail on the cabinets.

Thank you,

Beth
