I've used it several times (when appropriate) in other forums. Funny, the person it was intended for were offended, but everyone else thought it hilarious. I LOVE it.

"I think it's an app for your phone or something."
Nope... it's a website that anyone can use.

Many people use it... and the person it was intended for usually does NOT get the hint!

That is funny! I have a friend I should mail it to, but she wouldn't get it either.

"Was that so hard?" lol

I have used it a few times I think it's funny.

What was it?

Oh, that's clever! Click on Kat's link, Suzieque.

I did. All I got was the typing in of Kitchen Table, then a list of results. I don't get it. Either it's not working correctly for me (I am on my Kindle Fire) or I'm missing something. :-(

I get the same thing that suzieque is getting.

Do you see the little black words before and after "Google"? Do you see the messages in the blue box underneath the typing part?

it does the google search for you step by step and says here let me google that for you.
in other words google it yourself instead of asking someone else.

I get the same as Susieque

It's a sarcastic tool for people who ask questions that they could easily figure out themselves. For instance, if someone made a thread on the KT asking how many ounces are in a cup, taking the time to make the post and usually giving a vague title like "do you know...?" so people click it and take the time to answer. An entire process for something that could easily be Googled in about 3 seconds. So when someone asks a question like that, you give them this link as an answer and it shows it typing in their question and then the results that show up as a not so subtle nudge that maybe they shouldn't waste people's time on something they could easily figure out themselves. Generally very, very basic questions.

Great explanation chi83.

I have some very computer challenged friends though, and they are not aware that you can 'ask a question' via a google search. They think of it more like a dictionary, where you would look up one word, or search to buy an item.

I usually ask Google 'something' several times a day.

and usually giving a vague title like "do you know...?"
That is why I often don't open the 'vague posts.' I figure if someone is 'needing info' that they would or could make a good subject line, in order to get helpful answer(s).
