Speed Queen washer question for owners
Comments (9)Have you ever had a ceiling fan with a dimmer switch? When the fan is slowed by current drop from dimming the lighting it will hum like that or when running very low speed. Likely a similar result of the load of the wash and current drop to make the motor run slower for gentle wash action....See MoreBuying a used washer. I have questions.
Comments (8)I can't try it out. It has been disconnected for over a year. It is $150 with the dryer, which I would sell since it is electric and we have a gas dryer. I can't afford even the lowest end new speed queen... I am pretty much stuck with buying a used machine at this point. In school, getting divorced, kid in treatment, etc. If I had to pay for one service call it would likely still be cheaper than buying a new washer. And I would have a speed queen, which is supposed to be good and last, right? I was mostly wanting to know in general if the disuse itself could cause problems....See MoreSpeed Queen AWN 542 Cycles in detail
Comments (1)I have one of these washers, I love the performance of it and speed. No issues with clothes being beaten up or damaged. I do not have the dryer, as I didnt not need to replace my LG dryer. I even increase my max fill on it after watching the video on Youtube. You would be amazed how much water you can put in this washer to wash large items like comforters or blankets. This was certainly a no regret purchase for me...See MoreRepairing My Speed Queen

Yes this machine will have to be replaced...I'm seeing when it goes into spin a very slight movement of the drum, as if it might go off balance...this is how it started before. Service on Wednesday but if they get a cancellation on Monday than they will be here than....See Moresparky823
