I'm taking the blame for what? LOL German HEad has long been known as a very good variety and it's on the sweet side, not bland and not tart. My adjectives for it, having grown it many times, is it's reliable and tastes great but would not be at the top of my list for great tasting varieties, regardless of color. When you know the name of the variety you're looking for I'd start out at Tania's site before I'd do any Googling. Below is a link to her site for German Head. Scroll down on that page to see pictures and sites where seeds are sold as well as a few opinions of it, although there are many more opinions from the SSE listings for it in the annual Yearbooks, for members only. And with over 3,000 varieties featured I'm sure she hasn't had the time to update all of them for 2012 seed sources. When you're through at that page go to the upper left and click on MAIN, which takes you back to the Home page and once there you can see all the ways that you can search for varieties. I would really take a look at Sebo. Their uprights are rated as some of the best in the world. I bought a Sebo C 3.1 canister a few weeks ago and have been thrilled with it. I got it for 750...has all the features and build quality of a Miele without the 1200 price tag. Their uprights are very nice too...tried them out at the vacuum store. They go right down to the floor for 5 inch clearance, one model has adjustable suction on the handle. Removeable brushroll...gosh I can't remember ALL the features. The bags and filters are cheap compared to Miele. Very quiet too. Most of the uprights are about 500, a couple are about 700. I chose a canister because I have little stairs all over the place and didn't want to push an upright around those. For what its worth, I tried out my neighbors Dyson which weighed uggghhh over twenty pounds. So I quickly ruled it out on the weight factor. It was also very loud, no suction adjustment. I tried using the hard floor attachment with the hose...it stuck to the floor instead of gliding. The reason I was using it was because the Dysons giant nose wouldn't fit under my normal sized kitchen toekick...what a kicker. I've had mostly pleasant Google surprises rather than shocks, when Googling old boyfriends. Overall, it seems their lives turned out not only happy and healthy (so far, knock wood) but pretty much as they planned: English major turned English teacher, journalism major turned journalist, free spirited long-haired beach bum turned, ummm, guy who lives very well although not technically 'employed', on the beach in an Asian country where (at least before legalization) he could more readily access his favorite herb. All three former bf's still married to their original wives, even. Regarding old friends and roommates I'd lost track of...I've had some surprises there as well. A roommate I thought would marry the rabbinical scholar her parents would find for her, I found married to someone who could not be farther from it--literally, could never have imagined the match she made and I would love to know (though would never ask) how they came to be together. A classmate who I did not appreciate much but who was part of a group of friends I belonged to in college is a well-regarded writer with a home featured in the NYT for its style. Another classmate was featured in the NYT Vows section, and I started to wonder whether I was the only one from the rural midwest who didn't move to NYC and live with such flair! I've never even been in the local paper. And, oh, the prettiest girl in my high school is still the prettiest. And the very handsome boy I had a perpetual crush on but who couldn't have picked me out of a lineup is still extremely (I mean really!) good looking but his politics are so out of line with mine I can't really regret not making his cut. Thank you, Facebook!

Yes, we closed on the house just before Thanksgiving. Got some furniture delivered. Went with a Tommy Bahama style. As we say, Tommy Bahama wannabe style. LOL Been busy changing our address on everything and buying odds and ends that you never really think about. So far the house has been great. Everything so far is working well. The one thing I do hate is the side by side refrigerator. It's absolutely beautiful, but is too small even though it's big. I told DH I want to get an undercounter beverage fridge when we have money again. LOL The neighbors have all been very friendly. We have been told that we moved to the "best block" in the neighborhood. By best, they mean the most fun and friendly block. We're currently in the process of renting out our condo in North Naples. We've decided to keep it for investment. So happy to hear that things are going well for you! Aren't you glad that the whole selling thing is over? We sure are! We look at each other and still can't believe all the work we've done with this move.
