The salesman intially said the demonstration would take an hour. 3 hours later they were still at my house, convincing me to purchase this vaccuum. Dont get me wrong this was an amazing Vacuum!!! However the salesman had no concerns that i most likely couldnt afford this vaccuum. He had all these different priced plans, advising the price would normally be 3000.00, however he would bring it down to 2500.00 with fewer payments. He could see that i was still struggling to figure out how i was going to finance this vaccuum, He appeared to be making phone calls to head office to bring the price down and at the last minute bought it down to 2000.00 After calcluating the interest, it ended up costing 3000.00 anyway. My main problem with this is that it felt rushed. I couldnt find 3 forms of ID and desperately wanted him to leave after 3 hours and done a stupid thing like sign the forms just so they could leave. He didnt care that i didnt have ANY form of ID, he didnt care that i didnt know my bank account number, he advised as long as i purchased and signed on the dotted line, then everything else would fall into place. He advised he couldnt come back again as this needed to be done asap. They also took my old vaccuum with them. Everything seemed dodgy, and i had my kids running around hungry so i felt extremely pressured. After they left i sat down looking at this machine thinking what the hell have i purchased??!!! I looked around on websites like trademe (nz) and found other types of machines at the price of 500.00. By this time i was pissed! I immediately called headoffice and cancelled the order and they advised someone would call me to inform me of cancellation procedures. The next day after work these two guys came over again. (no call or notification to say they were coming) They were standing asking me why i wanted to cancel the machine STILL trying to convince me that there is no other like this. They even had the nerve to sit inside and say they called head office and they would lower the price another 200.00. I ended up telling them to take their vacuum and leave my house. I asked them where my original vaccuum was and they asked me what colour it was? I told them to leave and advised them to bring back my original vaccum or else i would make a complaint and slammed the door. 5 days later i still havent recieved my old vaccuum. This whole ordeal was a horrible experience for me and these salesmen were dodgy as!!! Never again

I still own a Kirby and it is put away in a closet this Shark would eat it up, I have never had a vacuum that sucked up as much as this shark does. Yes it definitely comes with the crevice tool and the brush plus the non carpet floor attachment. That is exactly why I ended up getting mine at walmart the ease of returns and I did have to return the first one, apparently someone had bought it to steal some of the parts out of it then packaged it all back up to look brand new and returned it, we picked it up not knowing that of course and got home to find out so we just went back to walmart and told them, we went and got another one opened it at the store to make sure all the parts were in it and they were. I hate when people do shaddy things like that then tell the store oh no it is all there and fine we just changed our mind bla bla bla. Then some poor person ends up with their left overs. However the stores should throughly check returns. From what I remember the only difference between the walmart one and BBB was that BBB got 2 of the cleaning pads and walmart got one. I have a friend with two huge Newfie dogs she got the Dyson pet and hates it, I stayed with her for a while and would vacuum for her because with those dogs you have to vacuum often their hair is so fine it sticks to everything. I was not impressed with her Dyson on that fur. But that is the only one I ever used. I am sure there are pros and cons to any of them, but weight definitely begins to be a factor with age and arthritis!

I just called our local repair center to get an outside the fray insight. He said they do not have parts for repairs and they have been out of stock -- so even though they are listed online, the shipping would be delayed. He says they are shown to be in stock on 10-14 days and that once they are updated to that status, the delivery time should be pretty certain. His suggestion was to see if they can stop the shipment of the V15 and wait for the one you should get, but it sounded like they were trying to offer you an option when you said you couldn't wait. Not sure what happened in terms of loaners and miscommunications there because I've never heard of them sending loaners. I suspect someone was trying to suggest you use it and return it within the return period -- which is not really the way that's supposed to work and probably why you got different messages. They weren't really doing you any favors either, because you might then get "stuck" with the V15 (I'd take one but for me it would be an upgrade) or have to then pay to upgrade back to the Outsize. Good intentions can go really wrong. If you liked the vacuum, I'd stand firm on getting a warranty replacement of the same model. If you want to talk to the guy I talked to, his number is 713 683 1602. He offered to help but said if they are already shipping something out, it's outside anything he can do and said go back through the customer service channels and insist on them sending you the first available Outsize. With express delivery (my addition - or new attachments or something if you need them, or keep the V15 but insist on a credit for the difference, at least). I'm going to go call on my mattress fiasco now -- didn't get to it yesterday. But whatever you do, get what YOU want - not what we say. We won't be using it.

OK...last night hubby brought home a cordless Dyson. It's a V6 model, not the latest model and it only stays charged for 20 minutes. LOVE it! Plenty of power. We put the brush on the end and vacuumed the wood stairs & the wood blinds. It fits between ALL the stairway rails...much better than using a dusting rag. It's all plastic, light weight and makes getting in small spaces easy. It was put together like this when I used it. I don't know that I'd spend $300 on a current V8 model, it holds a charge for 40 minutes. The top of the line Dyson cordless holds a charge for 1.5hours. NOW...THAT makes more sense...but the price is $800-$1200. I also have a Dirt Devil cordless, $80. These are NOT...in my opinion...going to take the place of a heavy duty upright, I really like it when put together as shown in the photo for the car...or the walk-in closet, the pantry shelves, basic dusting. Update: Hubby just put the full wand and motorhead on it...he's vacuuming under the beds....and loving it! Says it's so thin it fits under the club chair! He is emptying it out often....it does have a small dirt receptacle. OK.
