Why do people think that when they exit a highway that they can just cross all lanes of traffic without yeilding?

My DB and DSIL were in an accident this morning because some idiot came off the exit ramp and right into their lane. They are ok, sore, DB's neck hurt, DSIL's knees were banged up, jeep is probably totaled. He had no choice but to hit the woman. Nowhere to go. They got checked out at the hospital and are home. I thank God that they weren't badly hurt. The other driver was sited, hope she had good insurance!

I've had someone do that to me more times than I can count. And don't get me started on right turn on red. Since that went into effect how many years ago, everybody thinks they don't have to stop at lights and signs anymore. Grrr.

I know, an accident is scary, hurts, and expensive... but when I read your post line, all I could think was BREATHE.

Glad they are fine. Wish it hadn't happened.

I see that in Minot all the time. That is when my Los Angeles driving kicks in and then they think twice!!!!
I am glad they weren't hurt worst.

A basic Google search reveals they did not come with your HP. A cursory review of some links provided did not show much if any support for the applications. If they are on your system I would get rid of them. I smell trouble if you use them. The HP site dedicated to your model would report if you need updated drivers and why. DA

ok I was just able to do it. I have android, so when I opened the Am app, I saw the microphone and I clicked on that, and said "alexa please thank my delvery driver". Alexa replied - yay. I think it's a nice publicity thing- win win in my book. I do find the deliveries are all done with care and I always provide positive feedback. I think it's a nice gesture and I take it at that.

I used the Armacost RibbonFlex Home 16 ft. AC Dimmable LED Tape Light Kit ($43.50) which includes a transformer and is 3000K color temperature for a hallway. Armacost also sells this as a 4000K kit. It also sells strip lights (number of LEDs per foot determines brightness), transformers (dimmable and non-dimmable), and diffuser channels (I used the surface mount) separately. Prices are lower at Home Depot than on the Armacost website. Note: with the kit above and diffuser, you see the LED "dots" through the diffuser. See I bought every LED Diffuser channel on Amazon to find the best one (ignore the dancing ladies at the beginning).

People are stupid, plain and simple. We were out in the snow, low temps, icy roads and people were passing doing 70-80 mph. I just let them go by.

I think someone has a contract out on me. I had to brake for red light runners twice in two days. These were not the ones who try to get through on yellow or just hit the red at the last moment. These were people who ran the red long after my direction was green and after I was already in the intersection with other vehicles preceding me.

DH saw an accident happen right in front of him on the freeway today. Some idiot STOPPED on the freeway in the center lane because he wanted to get over2 more lanes to get off at the next exit apparently.. You do not stop in 60 to 70 mile per hour traffic. In the rain. DH was almost part of the accident. Others weren't so lucky.

We've had another unusually icy winter here and people just don't get the idea. After all they have AWD/4wd so they can go any speed, stop on a dime and keep total control, right? I can't help but take a sinister pleasure in seeing those crossovers, SUVs and the like in the ditches. Just this past Tuesday I was coming home from work and the freeway was spotty and I was pleasantly surprised that most people were driving quite carefully. Then I look to the right and there's a Jeep on the cloverleaf exit, 90ÃÂ° to the road sitting on top of the snowbank, rear wheels 2' off the ground and tires spinning away! She didn't get the idea that she wasn't going anywhere! I couldn't help but wonder if she was on her cell phone, but I still laughed.

Now I didn't laugh when, about a week or two before, heading down nearly the same stretch of road, I'm next to an elderly guy, in a Buick of course, barely able to see over the steering wheel and then I saw it happen. His head turned a few degrees and I could tell he was looking in his mirror. I could see he didn't turn his head enough to see I was right next to him and I just *knew* what was going to happen, so I checked to my left knowing I'd have to make a panic yank on the wheel and sho-nuff he cranks the wheel over. I lay on the horn and he shakes his fist at me! LOL

Complain about the single degree weather, ice and snow all you want, the motorcycles, bicycles and such aren't out at least not in full force. So there is another good thing about winter.

One of my pet peeves is people with burned out lights. I try to tell them whenever I can but some go running like I was the Grim Reaper chasing them! Some are nice about it of course, but really, how hard is it to pay attention to whether your lights work? And shouldn't you be able to *tell* when your headlights are not working? Taillights, brakelights, OK, not always easy, but I guess it's not just an insult that people are driving "in the dark"!

To this day I remember the advice a friend's dad gave him. "Drive like the other guy is crazy." Prophetic, huh?

They are pretty sore. DSIL says DB got his bell rung and his neck hurts some, and her knees got banged up, but they both got checked out and are ok. I'm glad my nephew wasn't with them. This is the SIL who had the stroke in 2006 or 2007. Every time she has a TIA or seizure, he gets so upset. I'm sure he isn't going to want to go to school today. DB put pics on facebook last night. It could have been much much worse. Other driver was sited, so hopefully they won't be out a vehicle for tooo long. They have a pick up, but the jeep was cheeper to run and much better in the snow. Thing was, it wasn't even weather related. Roads were clear and dry. There are a couple of places in about a 5 mile stretch there that merge onto the highway they were on that people do that all the time. Just makes me mad that people don't care what the rules of the road are, they don't figure they apply to them, just everyone else. I haven't talked to them, but dad said they are ok. I'll help if really needed, but with the flu that has been here, they don't need that too. Thanks for caring.

So many think "they have brakes", I am glad that they were not hurt any more than they were, Tami. It makes me fume, I had a guy pull out in front of me a couple of weeks ago, I managed to stop but everything ended up on the floor. And he saw me coming! Stupid a-hole.
