What color green to go with cream cabinets
Comments (5)I'm debating this myself... see my thread on RH "Silver Sage" vs. P&L "Solitary". I am looking for wall paint for my new kitchen which has cream colored cabinets. I am really leaning towards the Solitary, but it's definitely a blue-gray... but you only asked for no red, gray or yellow tint!!! ;o) I think it is a beautiful color, though. SW makes a color called WASABI TASTE that is (IMVHO) a gorgeous light-ish green... I have it in my larger guest room. RL Polo has a color called ALLIUM GREEN, which I currently have in my LR. And another RL green color I like is called "HAZEL WOODS", it's in my bedroom. It's a tiny, tiny hint of blue-ish that just adds interest and makes you go, "Hmmmm...!", and is a lovely color. Personally, I have a hard time with sagey greens... unless they are done just right, I find them too dark or too light or too *mint*. What colors have you been considering? Comments (25)We have a small galley kitchen. Eleven years ago we installed quartersawn oak cabinets, the lowers stained chestnut and the uppers stained sand - an off white. I still love it and left the cabinet scheme when we had to refresh some elements about four years ago. I agree that you should use ubatuba on both perimeter and island. At first I wondered if your backsplash tile was too muddy and 'fancy' for lack of a better word but with your ubatuba, I liked it better the longer I looked at the combination. You get so many opinions - including mine! Have you talked to a tiler about the backsplash installation - they'll require a skilled installer I would think....See MoreKitchen paint color with cream colored cabinets. Help!!
Comments (18)I’m in the same boat as you except my cabinets are a horrible antique white (yellowish beige). We just painted our walls alabaster white and love it. Of course my cabinets are still horrible so we’re going to paint them as well. I notice your cabinets are more of a true white... maybe off white, so I think alabaster would work well. It’s a popular color because it can go with warm colors or cool colors. I have warm accessory colors throughout my house and it works perfectly with them....See MoreI have cream colored cabinets, can I do a white subway tile?
Comments (10)what kind of flooring did you get? that would help w/the selection. nothing in this space is white, and the white tile makes your cabs look dingy. plus, it doesn't really work w/the counter. A creamy white or griege would look better. (those cabinets in your pic above are not creamy. they appear that way because of the warmer overhead canned lights. Those cabs are as bright as those subway tiles. Look at the very bottom. The countertop in the pic is a marble-look quartz, also a white. not a super bright white, but not at all creamy. This looks nothing like what you have in your kitchen) ( you plan on painting the cabs? or you could just get them refaced. that's what I did with mine) why not go w/a taupe or soft greige tile? These colors. Dove gray, griege, warmer grays/taupes This one. Tilebar 3x12 subway in Manchester-Dove they have a Dove Gray, Fawn and a Vanilla, in different shapes. https://www.tilebar.com/collection/tile-mosaic-collections/manchester.html Here's the Vanilla. it might not be as bright as your white. get a sample. (and home depot or Wayfair might carry this same tile collection under IvyHill) https://www.tilebar.com/manchester-vanilla-3x12-ceramic-tile.html They have the dove gray, taupe, fawn and other colors under this link^ Vanilla in the hex shape. Bedrosians has this matte tile. Makoto Tatami...See Morerosylady
