Worst Chicken Satay EVER!

I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com - it had 363 reviews, mostly raving about how wonderful this recipe is (at least to them!)

So, I printed the recipe and put the marinade together this morning and marinated the chicken in it all day today. Arrived home around 3:30 and threaded the chicken onto skewers and 'grilled' them on the Foreman grill.

Disgusting! Ptooey! But the dogs LOVED it.

Any good tried and true Chicken Satay recipes out there?

Here's the recipe I used:

CHICKEN SATAY

3 Tblsp. creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce (otherwise itÂs too salty)

1/4 cup lemon or lime juice

3 Tblsp. brown sugar

1 tsp. curry powder

1/2 tsp. PenzeyÂs Bangkok Blend

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 tsp. sriracha sauce

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cubed

In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, curry powder, garlic and hot pepper sauce. Place the chicken breasts in the marinade and refrigerate. Let the chicken marinate at least 2 hours, overnight is best. Preheat a grill to high heat. Weave the chicken onto skewers, and then grill for 5 minutes per side.

Suggestions: add chopped green onions, ginger, or sesame seeds. May also be baked in the oven or made into a stir-fry.
