What a beautiful Bandit! I've been the mother of nine yorkies over the years, and they are just the BEST little dogs around. I'm very sorry for your loss, but happy that you're getting a puppy soon.

I'm so sorry! I know first hand how this hurts. I admire you for being able to open your heart to another little sweetheart so soon. We lost our little Oliver in November, and even though we said we were done subjecting ourselves to this kind of pain, we are not done wanting the totally unconditional love furbabies bring us, so... I think we'll probably try again, but it isn't easy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Bandit was a cutie, and I'm sure he's still watching over you from the Bridge. 15 years is such a long time, but not nearly long enough, right?

I don't know if you've ever considered rescuing a Yorkie, but I do know that they're a popular breed for puppy mills, and there are a lot in rescue. I hope you don't mind, but I'm attaching a link to Yorkies on Petfinder, starting in Virginia.

You probably have your heart set on a puppy, but because I used to work in rescue, I thought I might suggest it. Either way, I hope your new addition helps your heart heal, and will enjoy as many wonderful years as Bandit with you:-)

I'm so sorry, Wanda! Your Bandit looks a lot like Ginger, our little YorkiePoo we lost after 14 years.

So sorry, Wanda...We lost our wonderful dog five months ago so I feel your pain. I'm glad you didn't let your heartbreak stand in the way of more unconditional love. Focus on the wonderful memories and the pain will ease up. I am one who can't stand being without a dog so we have another love in our lives. She's not a replacement....she's an addition. Good luck with your new puppy.

I am so sorry Wanda. I had the pleasure of meeting Bandit in 2002. I always remember how you sang to him to get him to go outside.

I've always liked Yorkies. A cousin had one and watching him play with the 100# Great Pyrenees was hilarious. He'd zig and zag and then cut back and run between her legs!

It doesn't matter if you've had a pet for a couple years or 20 years, once you're attached it's still tough to lose them. I hope there's comfort that Bandit had a long and apparently healthy life up to the end. He's given you a lot of memories to enjoy.

Oh ((Wanda)), I am so sorry to hear this sad news. They take a piece of our hearts with them when they go. I'd bet he's keeping Wade company until you can all be together again. What a sweet boy. Like Kat said "till you meet again". There will never be another Bandit, but there will be another sweet doggie just waiting to be loved by you & Stan.

I'm sorry for your loss. Been there many times with animals from 2 1/2 years to 22 years. What a lovely tribute to your Yorkie, to get another. They do leave quite a hole in our lives.
