Food Safety Question

Hello All, I lurk here all the time, and hope someone can answer a question for me.

I put up a pot of 15 bean (dried beans) soup with chunks of ham with morning. The ham is the cured variety. I needed to leave the house, and was out far longer than planned (6 hours). The soup was far from done when I had turned off the heat. When I came home, I proceeded to cook the soup. Do you all think this soup will be safe to eat, when cooked thoroughly?
