Just FYI, I just added more photos to all my gallery threads, for those of you who enjoy them.

Maybe the answer is for us to get a sticky over there that says "Please read before you post here" and lets people know that questions go over here and huge photo collections go over there? Seems that couldn't hurt because "lost" people are always kicking the best threads to page 2, 3, 4, etc. Not only that but there is repetition on the color threads. It would be great to see just a few really right on the mark color threads stay on page one too. JMO. I haven't seen any other boards with serious galleries -- but maybe the kitchen board has one? Not sure. Others need to chime in here. Maybe we should start a new thread about this and ask people for ideas and see if they would at least join us in asking -- is it Tamara? -- to put a sticky in the gallery attempting to protect it better?? I do like your ideas!

Hey Squirrel, nice to see you! You've very welcome. The Cottage Decor thread really is my favorite. Flowerpwr45, you should post more often. You are very welcome. I'm just so happy to know that people are enjoying it. I do see questions here all the time (and some in the gallery too) that make it clear that many people are not aware of the gallery, or how helpful it can be. I hope folks will continue to suggest that people go look there. I can get answers to lots of questions there, like styles of drapes, or what to put on top of a table or dresser, what size rug to use, color schemes, storage ideas, wall decor, and on and on.

Hi Karin. Some of the old photos don't load any more for anyone. I don't know why and I can't fix it, sorry. But I did change the host, and the vast majority of them do load. Plus some of the pix loaded by others no longer load. Still, the gallery threads are well worth a look. It's like getting a ton of decorating mags free and you don't have to figure out where to store them. :o)

You know, I don't want to hog the spotlight here. If you want something you're not seeing, please feel free to enter whatever key word in google, then hit Images, have fun snooping, then post your favorite finds into those threads. Or share your favorite stash, or your own handiwork in your own homes. We'd ALL love to see your pictures! :-)

Oceanna, the galleries you have developed are such an asset to this forum. I find posting even one or two photos to be a time consuming chore, so I want you to know how much I appreciate all the time you have put into this! Some wonderful inspiration there!

Wow! You all have made my day.

Madeyna, if you close this thread, you will see a list of all the threads. At the top right of that list, you will see the words "Gallery" and "Conversations" and they are live links. "Discussions" is where we are now -- on topic talk. "Gallery" is for large collections of inspirational pictures, and please feel free to add yours to the appropriate thread. "Conversations" is us all talking to each other, but about things that aren't decorating, like our families, work, and so on. Hope that helps!

Beautiful job on the galleries! I still have dial up so I couldn't wait for all of them to fully download, but...WOW!! I posted a pic of my fireplace on the fp gallery-or are the galleries meant more for professional, published photos? Thanks again!

Jaybird, Furletcity, Never Ending, and Mustangs, you're so welcome! I'm sure glad you enjoy them. I often consult them myself with a question like, "what should I put on my coffee table?" (now don't look at my coffee table - lol)

Furlet, dial up is such a drag. I guess you have to call something up and go fix lunch or do laundry or something? I apologize for swamping your connection.
