HVAC Quotes - Heat Pump

We want to replace our existing heat pump and oil furnace and have received quotes from 4 reputable local dealers. I'm looking for some help with sorting these out.

Location: SE Pennsylvania

House: 3000 sq feet built in the mid-70's. Situated on the north-east side of a hill along a stream, so it tends to be colder in the winter months and cooler in summer.

The heat pumps are all 4 ton except one as noted.

Dealer #1:

Carrier 25HPA648 w/10kw heat strip - $9,175

Carrier 58MVC120-20 (5 ton) w/Carrier 25HBC360 gas furnace - 9,125

Climate Master TTV064 Tranquility 27 Geothermal HP w/10kw heat strip - 23,295

Dealer #2:

Bryant 286BNA048000 w/Bryant 355CAV060120 gas furnace - 11,000

Dealer #3:

Lennox XP21-048 w/15kw heat strip - 9150

Lennox XP21-048 w/Lennox G61-MPC-06C-091 gas furnace - 10,580

Dealer #4:

Trane XR15 w/Trane 90,000 BTU gas furnace - 9,867

Trane XL16i w/Trane gas furnace - 11,018

Trane XL15i w/Trane gas furnace - 10.503

For the gas furnace, we would use propane, so there will be additional costs for the tank installation. Propane also has the negative price fluctuations that we've experienced with oil and we get tied to a supplier unless we purchase the tank which is likely how we'd go so we could bury the tank since it becomes hard to hide it otherwise. Electricity is about .085/kWh.

We're waiting for another quote on geothermal. Both dealers are talking about drilling a well for the coil. Our soil is clay/shale, so maybe trenching is out?

Even with the full 30% tax credit for geothermal, it still ends up being about double the cost of the other quotes.

Thoughts on these quotes?

Thanks!
