Trane vs. Bryant Dual Fuel Quotes

Hi. I'm narrowing in on choosing a contractor to replace our house's HVAC in DC (~2400 sq ft, single zone, old house). I have two similar quotes and would like some advice. Both are dual fuel (R410A heat pump w/ 80% AFUE gas backup) with variable speed blowers, humidifiers, 4" media filters, and the highest end thermostat each manufacturer makes to allow the dual fuel and humidity controls.

One is a Trane XV80 + a Trane XL16 two-stage heat pump

The other is a Bryant Evolution Series furnace but with a single-stage 15 SEER heat pump (their Preferred series)

Price is almost identical (Trane is $200 more, but if I were to downgrade the Trane heatpump to their single stage 14 SEER model it would $600 less)

What are people's opinions here? I've heard great things about the Evolution system but if I don't go with their higher end heat pump will I get all the benefits? I've also heard excellent things about Trane's reliability but some have said their heat pumps are their weaker links. Lastly, how important is it to have a two-stage heat pump if I already have a variable speed blower?
