What's for dinner Tuesday?

We're having curried chicken wings, a spinach salad and warmed up potatoes au gratin from last night. Hope my curry sauce for the wings thicken s like it's supposed to soon!!

Mike is going to grill some pork chops. I will make some stuffing to go with it and a vegetable.

Fish Market for fish and chips. Ate the fish and skipped the chips :o)

Sue, both your dinner and Norm's sound delicious. Hope you are staying warm. It seems the worst of the weather is over and the nation will get back to half-way decent temperatures. Pam, yes I can taste one speck of pepper in a dish. Normally, I love pepper. I can't remember whether it was the chemo or radiation that caused it, but I do know my taste buds are whacky now. Sure hope they go back to normal soon. Panera's broccoli/cheese is my fav! Raven, what can I say but "YUM". You are such a good cook! Laura, I'm surprised you are able to eat after Glenda fed you, but a little chicken stir-fry never hurt anyone :-) Shirley, I haven't tried the chipped beef. It looks like that polar vortex is on it's way out so we will all be happy to get out of the house come the weekend! Kittiemom, enjoy the pot pie! Jasdip, how nice of them to invite you to their Christmas celebration. I could eat my weight in baklava. It is just too delicious!!

Kittiesmom, I'm glad you got home safely. Hope you don't have to work tomorrow. Enjoy the sloppy joes. They're always a good thing! Mary, are you in the path of that storm Glenda is talking about? It looks like it's going straight across GA and then head north, but maybe that's changed. No doctor today, just finished up business from Harry's death. That chicken sounds good, Raven. I need to put mushrooms on my grocery list. I bought a 2-1/2 qt. crockpot when they were on sale at Wal-Mart before T-giving. I could use it since my other is way too big.

Glenda, have fun with your boys! Chi83, I've seen a few soup recipes on Pinterest that used kale and beans. Nice combination---I could sub something else for the quinoa, I'm sure. Monica, yum! Bet your house smells so good. I imagine a lot of KT'ers will be looking for the key lime pie mix. Pam, you get more done in one day than 5 people! When I lived in IN I used to work the polls. It was nice when people brought us goodies since we couldn't leave the building from 5 a.m. until about 7 or 8 that night. I loved doing that! Shirley, after reading Pam's post I feel like I did nothing! Got more to do tomorrow. I'll be glad when tilapia tastes right again! Jasdip, I've read about those tomatoes too, but I thought they were really expensive. Glad you found out differently. I like Pomi brand tomatoes. They are imported from Italy and in a box like chicken broth comes in. The ingredient list is pretty short: tomatoes. :-) Mary, unfortunately I'm not finished with all the changes, but the list is getting short. :-) Grilled cheese sounds really good. Georgysmom, do you like your new closet? Was your DH surprised? Good luck at bridge!! Raven, hope that rain heads north instead of east. Spaghetti was always a winning dinner around here.

Yea, seagrass! You had enough left over. Harry used to make a really good acorn squash and fill the center with a brown sugar, pecan and splash of bourbon filling. It was like dessert! Enjoy your dinner! Glenda, I drool everytime I hear "smoked chicken salad". Saw an ad for a place that sells smoked mullet. Have to find it and make some mullet spread. Lordy, I could live on that stuff. Now you have us all intrigued about your lunch tomorrow. How about a hint? Is "it" male or female :-) Sue, I swear you have the best kids. They sure are a big help to them--but then, you're a big help to them, also. Sweet Betsy, so good of you to help at the hospice library. They took good care of Harry for the short time he was there. Good luck with your cheesecake. They're pretty easy, really. Shirley, isn't it strange how something can sound so good and turn out bad? I have 4 3-ring binders with recipes and make comments in the margin after I try them--whether good or bad and changes I made or would make. Maybe someone will like reading them someday. I know your salmon patties were good, though!! Jasdip, that's just too darned cold for me. Your pasta and veggies tasted nice and warming, I bet. Stay warm!!

Man, those au gratin potatoes with gueyere were even better tonight. Fortunately, they're all gone now! The curried wings were so-so. The sauce was good and a I froze the half I didn't use to put over chicken and rice some night.

Nita, send Bobby out for the vegetable. Beets would go good with your pork :-) I've been hungry for your rigatoni and sausage. That stuff is addicting!

Glenda, such will power! I usually intend to eat one or two--well, you know how that goes sometimes.

I tried something different tonight. Bought a pack of frozen sweet and sour chicken then made my own rice. It was alright, but I kind of knew what to expect. Not as good as fresh by all means, and I was sure I'd be hungry later on (about right now). So far I've only delved into the Doritos as I watch the Cavalier basketball game.

I'm cleaning out the fridge and freezer, so I made a big pot of vegetables - potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips, celery, part of a green pepper, onions - with a beef knuckle and lots of black pepper. It was amazingly good, but there is so much that if I freeze half of it, Hub and I will still have to eat it for a week! Oy...

Played bridge tonight. We were suppose to go out for half-price hamburger but they were booked so we had chicken soup and off I went.

Tuesday was Chicken Fajita's. Tonight is baked Tilapia, Spinach salad and baked potato for DH. I'm trying to lay off the carbs, but maybe I'll steal a bite of his!
