Congrats to Andrew...pulled pork

To make it food related, I am making pulled pork for the grad party...oh an Andrew passed his road test! He is New Jersey's newest driver!

I got so misty!!

I go back in time to 9 yrs ago when he got his diagnosis and the doctors told me he would prob never be able to drive...well he proved them wrong! Keep in mind he has to stay on top of his meds but other than that he is just a normal kid!

Cheers!

Here are my steamed buns...

Thanks Jim! The buns did turn out better than expected. I've decide, instead of getting another steamer I will get a wok. We already have a bamboo steamer but it's bigger than all the pots and pans that we have. My initial thought was to buy a smaller bamboo steamer. But now I see a smaller size bamboo steamer is no difference than the veggie steamer that we have. In that case, it's still impossible to steam more than 5 buns at a time. To solve this problem, we need a big wok. We never have a wok because we don't have space for it. Now I want one for steaming. If we're going to get a big one we will have to keep it in the basement; only to bring it to the kitchen on need basis. Al

Yes, he's all grown up, about to graduate high school and begin college. When I first got a computer and found the garden web, Amy was 6 and Drew was 2! Its as if he grew up here lol!!
I am just a whimpering mess these days...just so proud!

Yes, indeed, congratulations to Andrew. I'm glad they did find the medical regimen that controlled his seizures, I remember working toward that with Amanda. Hers is so well controlled now that she hasn't had an episode of any type for 4 years.

Have a great party!

That's just awesome news! Congrats to Andrew, and enjoy the pork. I'm in a pulled pork frame of mind, too. Check out the recipe I just posted for Mustard BBQ sauce if you're interested.
