Was over to see Mom in hospital today. She asked if I'd go to her home, get a roast out of the freezer, cook it well-done, have mashed potatoes, carrots around the roast etc. When Wally gets home from work the 3 of us can eat dinner then. I did, and Wally was surprised and thrilled. Mom's been in the hospital 10 weeks, and Wally is still loving his pasta. He feels much more comfortable eating at home than at other people's places, even ours, so I didn't mind cooking for him at their home. Dinner was good!

Just put frozen chicken breasts on to cook for chicken and dumplings.DDIL came in and asked if I had already planned supper and I told her what I was doing.She said she had been wanting spaghetti.Sooo,spaghetti is a lot easier,cook spaghetti,open jar of sauce,I'm done.Out of the kitchen a lot faster too.LOL So I will cook the chicken and have it tomorrow.I wasn't really in the mood to make dumplings anyway!

LOL Glenda is that at a fair grounds??? Have you eaten it I would love to have that~~ We have soup from my last nights experiment of making mixed bean/ham soup~~~it was good:)So it is on for tonight too. I was excited it was good last time I tried it tasted like water soup no taste at all.

There were 15 for dinner at my house today. Everyone brings something so it is pretty easy for me. I started my spaghetti sauce on Sat. morning about noon. I cook it in the oven in a big canning kettle. There is chicken, pork chops, hamburg, mild and hot Italian sausage in it. I cooked until 9 at night and then shut it off and left it alone. This morning I took out all the bones and stirred it really good. Put it back in the oven at about 250 to keep it hot. Dinner was around 2. I cooked 3 pounds of Angel Hair pasta. Jerri brought a huge salad with lots of great things in it. Judy and Jackie brought garlic bread. Millie brought wine coolers. Yelena brought Russian cake, she is from the Ukraine. Everything was wonderful, the ladies ate in the dining room and the guys ate out on the patio at our huge table. So much fun and everyone complimented on how good the spaghetti was. I hated to see everyone go home.
