When we first got the microwave during the kitchen remodel I bought the Presto popper. Some people on the CF gave it good reviews, but I wasn't real impressed. Didn't help that I was using bus bins in the bathtub to do dishes during that time. Cleaning the popper became more trouble than it was worth.

Have you ever used a regular plug-in-the-wall air popper? I first used one in college 30 years ago, and have used one again for about the last ten years. I love it to pieces. Makes wonderful, fluffy popcorn, and all you clean is the big bowl you eat out of.

I received a hot-air popper as a wedding gift 17+ years ago and it's still going strong. No oil, no fuss, and great popcorn. It's a Poppery II corn popper by West Bend.

I think of the sweet little old lady that gave it to us every time I use it, which is about every week. Isn't it funny how some gifts really stand out and you remember who gave it to you & when. I certainly don't remember every wedding gift but there are a handful I can recall without trouble.

I completely forgot about the hot air popcorn popper I, too, had in college. Of course, I don't still have it, but maybe I'll add it to my Christmas list. I think the hot air popper may be easier than the microwave popper and will make a lot more at one time, too. Thanks for jogging my memory.
