No not that. But I sure feel for you, hurting feet suck!!!

Mine have both been hurting for about three or four weeks now. The pain runs from my arch up and around my ankles on the inside of my feet.

Right before Christmas when I was trying to get shopping finished I could barely walk. I felt like I was walking on big club feet. I lived on Ibuprophen for a couple of weeks.

I feel for you and have not heard of that before. However, I do have a "hammer toe" with the bony bump on top...so far, no pain. Interestingly...my oldest daughter has a type of arthritis in her hands...the first knuckles are swollen and bony-looking (and ugly) and she has discovered that, in excluding wheat from her diet the boniness almost goes away. Eat just a bit of wheat and you can almost see them swelling. (She did have allergy tests done and IS allergic to wheat and oats and other odd stuff. DH has rheumatoid arthritis and has always had many allergies, but is a die-hard bread lover. Of course, our very good MD who is working hard to keep us healthy, does not believe that there is a connection of allergies causing arthritis. I think we are all on a journey to learn...and this is just one area. Nanny

Now that I think about it, she does have bunions and knobby toes. Be careful with those OTC pain relievers. I have mentioned before that before my back surgery, I lived on Aleeve....to the detriment of my kidneys. So far, I am doing ok, but I am not allowed to take ANY OTC pain relievers ever again. I have not had that problem, but I had a problem on the ball of my foot. All of a sudden it felt like I was walking on a splinter. I looked for foot pads and after a couple of try's I found one that was medicated and wore them about 2 weeks, no more pain. You might try one on that bone. The one I used was an oval one with a hole in it.

a few years ago I was having problems with my feet. I got offf of work and I could hardly walk. When we went to Michgan my Son in law told me he wanted to take me to Meierrs and try their machine. I stood on the machine and did what it told me to do. When i was done it told me which insoles I needed I didnt buy them then because I had just ordered a set of Walkfits off of Tv and I wanted to see if they worked or not. I got home and they were here and I tried them a couple of days, They were so hard they hurt my feetand they were the medium hard ones. I would have like to see what the hard ones were like. Anyway I sent them back and had a pair sent to me from Michigan that are DR Scholls. They cost me 49 dollars, but it was the best money I ever spent. Now they have them in Walmart here in the Dakotas and I suspect all overby now, The bottom of nmy feet is what bothered me though

You should see a Podiatrist. She/he will be able to tell what the problem is and hopefully offer a solution.

I was in terrible pain from what turned out to be arthritis in the ball of one of my feet. Now I can be on my feet for hours with no pain at all due to the correct treatment.

happy what kind of treatment did you have. I have arthritis and planter phasia. Planter doesn't bother me anymore, one cortisone shot took care of it. The arthritis comes and goes, mostly in my toes.

Is it possible you're wearing new shoes? I once had a pair of shoes that made the tops of my feet hurt, when I had never had that problem before. I stopped wearing them and it went away.

My feet hurt all the time. If it isn't heel spurs, then it feels like bones are smashed in the ball of my feet.

Oh goodness what feet woes we all have! Our feet take a beating over the years, don't they? I'm seeing a doctor Friday. My leg hurts too, so maybe it's all connected.

Maybe it's those high heels I wore back in the day. Went to an affair yesterday, and my (much younger) friend was wearing stiletto heel boots with long pointy toes. Egads, it hurt to look at them.

Jannie, maybe you need more cushioning, like some kind of insole/insert to give those tootsies a little TLC.

I have arthy and boy does it hurt some days. My feet were hurting so bad for days and I could hardly walk. I tried everything. I finally broke down and bought some Birkenstock shoes and have worn them every since. They are hard to break in but once they are they are wonderful. The soles are hard as rocks at first and the leather is really stiff. You can only wear them a short time each day. It take awhile to get them broke in. Don't ever think you can go off shopping in a new pair of Birks..I have some that I have had for years. They last forever.. In the summer I always seem to have a bone pop up on the top of my foot. OUCH!!!! I had my hubby cut a notch in the leather of a pair of sandals and that did the trick. There isn't anything that hurts worse then feet. The Birks are expensive but worth every penny.

One more thing about the Birks. I just bought a new pair and they are called Footprints. They are a much dressier one and narrower. I like the look. If you have the wide feet do buy them..

Vala55, I got orthotics about 18 months ago. Did fine with them until the summer and sandal weather. Then I got lazy about using them. My foot started to hurt again and I went back to the podiatrist. She told me to wear them all the time(glue them to my feet is what she said LOL). She also gave me a cortisone shot.

I went on line and found a brand of sandals that I can put my orthotics under the footbed and bought 4 different styles! The brand is Drew and they are very comfortable.

My main "foot trouble" is that I tend to "... put my foot in it", on occasion ... and I don't mean mainly in the pasture (or on the sidewalk while following folks walking their dogs but not carrying plastic bags [or a takout-coffee mug, which includes a lid that one can use as scooper/pusher, then a cover]).

Some people refer to it as " ... putting their foot into their mouth".

I'm having a bunionectomy on Tuesday. The podiatrist said my RA is responsible for some of the pain & bump growth. It's hurting nearly all the time now, so dr. said that's when he judges whether or not it's time to do surgery. We agreed it's time! I'll try to hobble to the computer at some point & ck. on ya'll.

BTW, dr. said bunions are hereditary. My kids said, "Thanks, Mom!" Not only for my allergies & arthritis, but now bunions. LOL

Happy my feet get cold I can't wear sandals even in the summer.

evatx, have you gotten a second opinion and is the problem on the ball of your foot. My husband had one bigger than a silver dollar and his medical doctor said, "what ever you do, don't have that removed because the scar tissue will be worse than it is now". I insisted he get a pair of expensive shoes with good soles and that did help him.

Hi vala. Yep, I did get a second opinion, and the huge bump is on the inside of my foot just below my big toe on the right foot.It's caused my big toe to move under the others. Both docs said they don't like to operate on a bunion if it doesn't hurt. When I told them the pain wakes me up at night, they both said it's time to fix it. I'm glad your DH got some relief.
