Gas Furnace Overtemp switch

Hi. We just moved into our new (for us, but built in 1939) home and it has finally gotten cold enough to fire up the gas furnace. The home inspector had noted that it worked fine but mentioned it is very old (22 years) and would probably need replacing in the next couple of years sowe new what we were getting. However, now after about 30 minutes of firing the overtempterature switch in the control area triggers leaving only the pilot light on until you reset it. I have made sure to leave the door to the furnance room open to increase the combustion air supply but this hasn't changed things. Any other ideas? Otherwise maybe we'll do that replacement sooner reather than later.

Thanks.
