Does where you buy matter?

I've been doing some FL research lately (with some help here, thanks!) and in the process followed some links others put in their posts of the "should I buy this?" nature.

Amana lists the NFW7200TW on their web site with an MSRP of $649.

At sears on this link:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02606101000P?vName=Appliances&cName=Washers+%26+Dryers&sName=Front-Load

its on-sale for $655.49 (normally $689.99!) Wow, their sale price is higher than MSRP?

The link I found here was to Home Depot, my local one shows:

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100606167&N=10000003+90039+502611+4718

which has a normal price of "$554.00/EA Each", but has it on sale for "$498.60/EA Each"

I do notice a slight difference in model numbers (NFW7200 vs NFW7200TW) but since Amana doesn't list anything with the sears number I'm assuming its a typo.

So what gives? Is Sears just that out of touch? Is there really a difference between what the different stores carry?

Eric
