What's for dinner 1/19/11?

We had to do dreaded grocery shopping today and got a late start. We were out of a lot of stuff and it took a while so it's a trip to Wendy's drive-through for us tonight. You'd think with $$$ groceries we'd have something to eat but I don't feel like cooking.

What are you having tonight? Sure bet it's better than ours!

Miss Myra's BBQ just hit the spot.
Cup of her fabulous brunswick stew and a rib, with white bbq sauce for dipping the rib.

We had hubby's family for supper last night so we will have leftovers. Ham, beans and cornbread..

My creamed spinach Creamed spinach 2 packages frozen spinach, (10 oz each) 6 ounces cream cheese, softened ^^I use fat free 1/2 cup butter, melted, divided 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs Dash of nutmeg: optional PREPARATION: Thaw spinach and press or squeeze to remove excess water. Grease a casserole dish and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine the spinach, cream cheese, and 1/4 cup of melted butter and nutmeg. Spoon into casserole dish. Toss remaining butter with breadcrumbs and add to top of casserole Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Serves 4

Just put frozen chicken breasts on to cook for chicken and dumplings.DDIL came in and asked if I had already planned supper and I told her what I was doing.She said she had been wanting spaghetti.Sooo,spaghetti is a lot easier,cook spaghetti,open jar of sauce,I'm done.Out of the kitchen a lot faster too.LOL So I will cook the chicken and have it tomorrow.I wasn't really in the mood to make dumplings anyway!

Yes, I am staying warm, very chilly out though, 7 degrees right now. Just me for supper so I had a half bologna sandwich, carrot salad, and a piece of yellow cake I baked today. Sue

I made the Bear Creek soup that someone recommended the other day. I added diced tomatoes, cut green beans and leftover pot roast to it, and it was pretty good. DH really liked it.

We had Chinese instead--egg drop soup and spring rolls. 'Twas good.

Black beans and swiss chard sauteed with garlic, onions, cumin, coriander, and cilantro. I made them into tacos and served with salsa. Really good!

Regarding Wed. - no idea.

Regarding Thurs. - no idea. Prob. a bowl of soup, prob. with cheese on toast, then microwaved to melt. Maybe applesauce or piece of pie, coffee, milk.
