Funny you ask.... about 1 1/2 hours ago, my cabrio 6200 was just installed. First load is about to come out. While I wanted to say thanks to all on this forum for the advice and counselling, I'll offer some of my opinion. I wasn't ready for a FL. The cost savings weren't as spectacular as I would have thought. And capacity of this model is just want I wanted as it replaces my old '80's huge oversized washer. I did want the agitator model becasue I've got the old style belief still that beating the cloths on the rock does get them cleaner. A little more wear and tear, but I can deal with that - just use a gentler cycle for delicate clothes. BEEEEP... wash just finished. Yes, my jeans were a little twisted. Shook em out and tossed them into the dryer. While the clothes felt damp, they were dryer than anything my last washer was ever able to produce. Nice. The weird stuff: it does make a few more strange sounds than my old washer, but I can live with that. The timer on it is pretty cool so you know when to come on back - although it has a buzzer on it that you can turn on\off... (scared my cat when it went off - kinda funny - cause it made me jump too...) The lid locks when the machine is running so you can't see into it.... I thought the glass top 6300 model was weird - but it actually is something I wished I gave a little more credit to when purchasing this. But that's probably because I want to see it once or twice actually doing what it's supposed to do - basically just to ease my mind that the investment was good. All in all, I'm happy with it.... So - to all those out there offerng opinions and advice - thank you. It was helpful. For those I didn't listen to, don't be offended. For those I did listen to, don't get too full of yourselves. For those energy consious folks who are mad at me, I did go ahead and replace all the faucets inside and outside that had a slow drip drip drip, and replaced my showerheads with more water consious ones... and I've now got CF light bulbs... So I'm doing my part... but now it's with cleaner clothing :) thanks

luludave, I thought I read that the spin rpm was the same on the 5400 and the 6200. Maybe I DID read that. I can't believe all the contradictory information I found on major retailer websites. I'll call WP and ask. The reason I'd really like ot know is because there is just a very slight difference in how dry the clothes are out of the washer. So much so that if I weren't looking for, I wouldn't have noticed. It will be interesting to know if "all rpms are created equal" in all machines. Perhaps the difference I'm barley detecting is since the drum is smaller, clothes are stacked a little thicker around the wall of the washer. mara, thanks!
