The Cirrus is a big sofa. I don't know if its new, because by the time I started researching it was on the website. It's a very nice sofa. The city sofa is a much smaller sofa than the cirrus. I love to lay down in a sofa and with the city sofa when lying down on the side, there was no room in front. The Cirrus has lots of room even with the cushions and pillows. Without the cushions, its about the size of a daybed. I'm quite average size by the way. I also felt when sitting up on the city sofa that it wasn't deep enough. Actually, its a standard sofa. When sitting in the cirrus, unless I'm sitting at the edge, my feet do not meet the floor. The cirrus comes with four pillows in the same leather as the couch. I've used it with both. I do think you need the pillows to simply sit on the couch properly with your feet on the floor. I, however, have been lounging with pretty much my feet up or lying down. Even when sitting up, I have my feet on an ottoman. The cirrus is not part of the town and country/marriage program. I only priced it for grade 2 and 3 leathers and it seems to normally ranged $3500-$4500. I bought it back when H&M had their 5% discount. I've tried to take the measurements you've indicated. Here's the results: (1) 30 1/3", and (2) 32". I'm not the best with a tape measurement, but it's a deep couch and long. Hope this is helpful.

I haven't been to all the major cities, but I'd say: New York City -- I know my way around this one more than most cities since I live near it. Manhattan and Queens within NYC - museums, ethnic restaurants galore, New York Botanical Gardens, the harbor, Central Park. San Francisco -- Been there twice and loved it. The climate, the sights, the food. Seattle -- Been there three times. Very fresh, bold, laid back. Okay, I haven't been there since the 90's.... Maybe it's changed. (I did also enjoy several trips to DC, but other than the awesome Smithsonian presence, it was something of "okay". I've been to New Orleans twice -- both pre-Katrina -- the music and the Cajun/Creole food is great, but things even then seemed so just simply trying to get by once you get away from the French Quarter. (Last visit was Halloween 2003 -- enjoyed the fun as a one off -- Halloween is nearly as raucous as Mardi Gras -- but this would seriously drain me quick.) Plus I utterly despise the heat and humidity that I experienced during my first visit, on a business meeting at the convention center. Chicago just seems like a great Fields Museum and Aquarium, but I don't really have much draw to learn more about that place.) PS: Would I live IN any of these places?? I did live some formative childhood years in NYC, but no. I'm a country girl. PPS: Can't believe the spell check doesn't accept "Mardi Gras"....

Sabbath you have done much more than me! Your trip looks amazing. Where is the art festival? I really want to go! I arrived at 130 AM on Tuesday. My room (exec. Suite) was substandard. I told the hotel to move me to a cheaper room and I would check out the next AM. I wasnt going to pay the high rates for the room - stains, banged up furniture, crumbs. The room was above the hotel mechanical equipment and very loud!! My father also paid for the executive suite and not pleased. At 2 Am, tHey moved me to a nicer smaller room, which I was happy with, but it was lower level, next to the road. I got no sleep. Luckily, my presentation went great despite being sleep deprived. The hotel then moved my parents to a nicer suite. and they moved me a tiny room on the 12th floor. There is a loud constant hum from some mechanical equipment, but overall much quieter and an improvement. It turned out my close friend was at the same conference so we had lunch at Couchon - a small cafe. The food was amazing! We all got together for a great dinner somewhere on bourbon street...cant remember the name. Yesterday, I just walked around the French quarter. We had breakfast at Brennan’s. Highly recommend! The strawberries and cream was divine!!! Later, we went to magazine street as my stepmo. Wanted some linens. I have been trying to get my father to use uber, but he refuses saying the drivers arent vetted. He let me order one to return to the hotel from Magazine street. I ordered uberX. I thought uberX was the larger nicer one, but I was wrong. We got a filthy Toyota Sienna. One of the seats broke as my father leaned against it. The man who drove it had a long white beard down to his waist. THe next thing I know he and my father are in a heated political argument, screaming at each other! I’ve never seen my father so angry! The driver wasnt quite right in the head. He mentioned his mother’s computer getting hacked and that he called the Russian embassy and told them he had killed 47 Russians. He was totally nuts! And it proved my father’s point! Every uber I have taken to this point has had nice polite drivers and clean cars. Just figures! Last night we had dinner at Arnauds on Bourbon street. I DO NOT recommend it! It was terrible!!! Food was cold! My gumbo was bland. Out of five of us, only the person who ordered the filet mignon was happy with the food. But her cappuccino looked odd and she said it didnt taste right. THe meal also took far too long and I was so happy to leave. We are not doing the plantation tour. None of us has the patience for a 1.5 hour drive and a 3 hour tour. We opted against the swamp tour for these same reasons. My father did hire a car to drive us around to look at mansions today. All I can say is that I am totally in love with NO. I had not expected to like it so much. I think I will be returning very soon. I love just walking around the French Quarter watching the street performers, popping into the shops and galleries. For breakfast, we are meeting at another cafe, known for their hickory coffee. I’ll get the name later.

@Joseph Corlette - In New York City, the Housing Inspection Department is not the same as the Building Inspection or the permits inspection. Housing Inspectors inspect rental units for violations of Codes concerning health and safety of tenants - which is why I wasn't sure whether coop residents fall within the jurisdiction of the Housing Inspection Department. Typically they write violations for lack of heat; lack of water; vermin infestation and electrical violations which are hazardous. Hopefully the GC does not have any kind of relationship with a housing inspector because that would be illegal and although there are bad apples everywhere, the department attempts to ferret out corruption. The big money though is generally attempting to bribe the Building Department which oversees new construction and new building in NYC has a VERY chequered past what with the Mob having historic business interests in the cement trade :-). GC's are more likely to have good relationships with the guys who inspect for permits for remodeling jobs although I'm not familiar with that in NYC but at least in Los Angeles, there is a smaller pool of guys and they inspect for their specialties and operate within a particular territory - my designer and GC seemed to be familiar with the predilections of the various inspectors who were assigned for my remodel and knew what they were looking for and were personally engaged with them during the inspection process so I think it's less of a black and white process.
