Here;s what I bought!

Will be delivered Wed.

It's the dining set at the top of the page! with the server by the wall! And it has a lazy susan which you can remove, if you wanna! with drop down leaves all around and can seat 8, and downsize to just 4, whatever the number that comes to eat.

And the server, has a drop down leaf that 2 youngsters can pull up bar stools and sit, thus, 10 in all can eat. OR can use it as sort of as a buffet!

Mighty pleased!

Whoops, didn't realize this thread had been added to! Karen, I posted about your tray on the other thread but if you want an opinion on the beads please take a pic showing another tray scape. Ya know how we love pics! :-) Kathleen, this is such a coincidence - the blog you posted is one I recently discovered thru another blog. For anyone who loves blogs this is one I recently discovered: http://thepassionatehome.blogspot.com/ Then found this one from there: http://janisgurney.blogspot.com/ Then to the one you posted. These 2 are both Canadian blogs and the first has a shop in a city we occasionally visit so I'll check it out this spring when we travel again. The other blogger makes things from silver objects and sells them in the other blogger's store. Also the lady with the store posted one of my pics I put out on the 'net on her blog!!! Link below. Small world. Thanks Punk! I have lots of other silver things that I'm thinking about using in vignettes and I'll post when I do. kiki, thanks for the link--and the compliment! I like the Tahoe and Ashton models...just can't get past the idea of going with something other than black because of the wrought iron scrolls! This is truly a decorating downside of mine because I look at something and think it HAS to match...when in reality I know it's all about complimenting and coordinating. Les...thanks for the response. I "think" the front door will be painted red. I have this vision of these Cracker Barrel rocking chairs on the porch and a matching red front door to give the house a punch of color against all the gray and tan. Love the colors! My DD has the same idea but in pinks. I posted a pic of her dorm room here last year that I took when visiting further into the semester. My kid actually had the neatest area in the room. You see, she slept on top of her comforter so that she didn't have to make the bed every morning. lol A little eccentric, can't imagine where she gets that from:). DD was in a 3 dorm with a study suite across the hall. DD has the same lamp as your DD's, only different colors. We didn't buy curtains either. DD and her roommates went out shopping during the first few days before classes started for last minute additions. I think (I hope) DD will be paring back significantly this year as she will be in a 2 room with no suite. Also, I am NOT dragging all that extra stuff home again at the end of her Spring semester. Kids seem to "collect" more stuff once they get to school. They find that they need this or that, said things add up significantly by the end of the year! We spent the better part of last summer getting DD ready for freshman year. Such a special time, exciting and yet bittersweet. How many hours from home will she be? DD is just about 2 hrs. Not too far, not too close either. I can't imagine trying to send all of that half way across the Country. Has your DD been assigned her roommate yet? DD didn't "meet" hers online until after August 1st last year. We did most of our shopping at BBB and Target. Thanks for sharing. It won't be long before school starts!

Sure glad that you are enjoying all the politicians!!! You have sure had the opportunity to see ALL the front runners! I bet you are at the ones that are going on right now in Ames!! I keep watching for you on CNN! LOL So......who have you seen today? I am soooooooooo sick of our phone ringing!! "Do you know who you are caucusing for?" Yep....and it is non of your busines! LOL (we are both registered independent...so we get all the calls!)

Its lovely!
I have an antique round oak table for about 20+ years and there are days when I'd like something newer. Don't dare bring it up to DH, he'd get upset with me! LOL

Very pretty Glenda.I use to have a server that looked like that.The doors on front opened and a table top unfolded that would seat from 4 to 8 and you could store folding chairs inside.I loved that thing.I wish I had never gotten rid of it.That drop leaf will come in handy with the little ones.
