Lordy, Patti - I wouldn't call it a fun day, in my case. I've been chasing all over the area.

First, to the college campus with my son, then to Goodwill to buy a t.v. stand (didn't find one) Lowe's for potting soil (scored two lady slipper Orchid plants from the bargain shelves - $3/ea.), then to the bank - I'm ready to just sit awhile.

I think dinner will be soup and grilled cheese sandwiches!

I made Jimmy's Meatloaf today. I couldn't write the rest of the name as I don't put ketchup or brown sugar on or in a meatloaf. But the basic meatloaf was very good. Thanks for sharing his recipe. I will make it again. It was moist and flavorful without the toppings.

Also had a bowl of 15 bean soup.

This cool weather had me hankering for some Chili so I have my Aroma cooker on cooking some up. I have not decided yet if I want to make cornbread or not, it would be good but I am awfully comfortable sitting in my recliner holding the dog, and goodness knows we wouldn't want to disturb the little princess. I really need an eye roll smiley right now!

I will pop in the oven an already made meatloaf I got at Sprouts for my DH~~hope it is good, this way I do not have to fiddle with getting my hands in the meat. I have red potatoes I will mash up for him and a steamed veggie, not sure what I will eat.

Playing nurse for him is stressing me, he can not sleep, he can not get comfortable~~he only slept a bit yesterday after the surgery and maybe 3 hours last night. He is not a good sleeper anyway but now it is worse;( I slept almost 12 hours in the extra bedroom~~~I am hoping that tonight he will just pass out from not sleep.

Ran into GS's mother and his little sister, so I sat and chatted with them for a bit.

Made reservations at the Fish Market Restaurant for our monthly upcoming luncheon. No hostess so out we go to eat.

Kayjones, soup and grilled cheese is perfect for a chilly night--which Florida is experiencing tonight. I really don't like days I have multiple errands to run, but at least you got some time with your son.

I'm glad you like the meatloaf, Shirley. I was a little leery of adding the ginger, but did it anyway. It really adds something IMO. I made the best 15-bean soup once. Didn't pay much attention to where I got the recipe and I've never made it as good since. Hmmph!

Raven, you have one lucky little pup! I really would rather have saltines with my chili. Just how I grew up I guess. Really like it with the crackers crumbled up in it.

YogaLady, hope your DH gets some sleep tonight. Maybe he needs a glass of wine before bedtime. (That was my grandmother's cure for everything.)

Your lunch sounds wonderful as usual, Glenda. Nice you and XDIL can talk. Do you have to give the restaurant a head count before the luncheon?

Phyllis, every time I think of pork steak I think of my dad. He's "gourmet" appetizer was small pieces of pork steak grilled on a hibachi with bbq sauce with a toothpick stuck in it. Have to say, it was really tasty. Hope you are going to warm up, up there soon.

I like saltines too and that is exactly what I had with it. My husband and I both agreed that this was my best chili, really like this cooker.

Now watching the OU game Go Sooners! The dog is still in my lap lol
