Patti, I did not get to eat my penne pasta in my pj's last night;( Around 3 o'clock I got so dizzy everytime I stood up, so I would not be going to my yoga nor getting my pasta. I had been cleaning upstairs earlier and carried some heavy things downstairs, since DH could not do it for me, I think I tweeked something that made me dizzy~~~it went away around 9.

Tonight Dh will have grilled salmon~~me a fake meat product, sweet potaoes will be thrown on the grill also. Some veggies and fresh fruit will be served also;)

Spinach casserole, fried cabbage, squash croquette and piece of delicious warm cornbread!

They had blackberry cobbler with ice cream, was tempted but resisted.

Slow cooking since 8 am, a big pot of split pea soup. I'll finish it off with some red onion and balsamic vinegar.

I am having left over pizza from the freezer. Hope it tastes better than it sounds! I think I'll make some brownies after dinner because Im picking up my daughter tomorrow and heading to my sisters for a couple of days.

Roasted chicken, Royal Blend rice, and steamed broccoli.

Have I raved about the Royal Blend mixes? These are delicious mixtures of different grains...brown rice, red rice, wheat berries, rye, barley, etc. The best part? NO ADDITIVES. No added salt, chemicals, or fake seasonings.

It make a perfect starting point for a great meal. I always add onions, and other veggies; beans, smoked sausage, shrimp, chicken, Mexican tomatoes and peppers.....you are limited only by your imagination.

Tonight, I'll use chicken broth for the water, and add plenty of onions and mushrooms to the pot. For those of you who like to use canned soups...add your favorite at the end.

Rice Select is the producer of these Royal Blends. Look it up. We have it at least twice a week.

Oh, corned beef and cabbage sounds wonderful.

We had hot turkey sandwiches (on English Muffins), stuffing and broccoli.

DH didn't eat the mushroom soup last night so we are having chicken Caesar salad wraps with the mushroom soup tonight. Don't feel bad, Patti, I didn't accomplish much today either. Went and got a perm today and then did some grocery shopping. That's it.

We had Monday's pot roast leftover tonight and it still was good.

I have in the oven my sliced potatoes and chicken breast in roasted garlic Parmesan sauce.
Hubby will be back home for dinner so back to cooking.

Since today is the day of my birth we had a mini celebration here at home :) (Due to weather conditions,one wouldnt even think about going out)

I'd just love to be able to go with Glenda once a month to get some of those interesting meals she has. It would take me out of my food rut.

I finally got to go out today after being house-bound for 10 days. I went to visit my special needs sister, and ran other necessary errands. I had a McDonald's BOGO free coupon for Big Macs. I had one tonight with a bowl of lima (butter) beans, and a small dish of pineapple and sliced banana.

Good night, YogaLady! Bet that gave you quite a scare. Glad you're better today. No more heavy lifting for you, missy! Sure will be glad when the sockeye is in the stores again--I think it's sockeye. It's a red salmon, anyway. We can only get it fresh a few weeks a year and it's pricy, but I would rather have that than a steak any day!

Glenda, as usual, every single thing you had sounds so, so good. I wouldn't have had room for dessert, no matter how good it sounds.

Satine, we had leftover pizza the other night and I think it's about the only thing that I don't like as much reheated. My daughter, however, would eat it cold for breakfast. Yuk!

Rhizo, I think we all like to hear about new products, especially those with no preservatives. I will definitely look for Royal Blend (doesn't that sound like coffee?) when we shop this week. What a nice dinner!!
