Anyone ordered a TV from QVC?

I see that tonight they're offering Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV. I don't know the size, price, etc., but maybe it's a good deal. The payment plan would probably be nice and UPS almost always delivers without a problem.

I'll be watching "Comanche Moon" so don't know if I'll check out QVC or not. We're in no hurry, but I wondered if any of you have ever ordered a TV from QVC. Maybe I should pay attention to what they offer from time to time.

Whew! Thanks, Tally! I really knew better, but sometimes it's just so tempting.....

I think I'll just watch the movie tonight and forget about channel hopping.

I want to share my bare root rose trees experience I ordered from Cottage farms direct. My story though turned out to be a good one. First off i purchased these roses before reading a lot of the negative reviews of this vendor. i was blinded by the great deal they have just this past June. The reviews really made me so worried, i was expecting the worse to happened. I did what i could though by calling UPS days beforehand that i want to pick up my package for fear of getting them toasted in their hot delivery van on the first days of summer. I picked up the package on June 23, 2016 in the AM & potted them right away when i got home. See the progression in the pictures, just so happy to see them come alive this week after about 20 days. The last photo is taken today July 17. So now, time to fight the fungus & other rose's pest.

I couldn't agree with you more. Although I see nothing wrong with a good Education, which is almost mandatory in today's job market. I have met a few highly educated people with little or no basic common sense in a lot of practical subjects Like Gardening. But then again it may just be that some folks have no time or interest in such matters. Sometimes I wonder how many people could survive without cable Television or telephones. Several years ago my niece (college grad) tried to grow tomatoes (from Walmart seedlings). She refused to use the family's pet rabbit's manure (it didn't sound sanitary), and used Miracle Grow African Violet food through the entire season just because it always worked so well (like pixie dust), on the houseplants. Results? Lots of very sanitary pretty little yellow flowers!

About Jewelry Television, I bought a platinum 3/4 carat diamond ring several years ago and paid 500.00 for it. Had it appraised and it was appraised in Atlanta area for 1,600.00. VERY HAPPY!! Then I saw another one on JTV (Platinum diamond ring) but the size was wrong, so I wanted them to size it for me... I ask them to size it and they ruined it... I sent it back, INSURED and they gave me a run around about how they had not received it and when I told them I had sent it INSURED, then they told me they did not take rings back after they sized them. I then went to my credit card company with my complaint and got my money back. They had made the ring band so very uneven and thin I could bend it. Fair warning---do not have them size anything and do not believe every ring can be sized. Especially platinum. I never bought anything else after that and before I was a good customer. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have shopped HSN, SNBC and QVC with absolutely NO problem, EVER. Maybe others have had problems with these other shopping networks, and good experiences with JT but this is my experience.

I try to be up at 4am to watch Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford and all the great 50s cars! Two-door squad cars... never saw one in real life but maybe they had them in California where it's supposed to take place. I remember watching Amos 'N Andy after school. It's downright sick that they pressured that show into hiding. So many other shows are far less politically correct but this is an example of hysteria ruling the masses. Here's over 5 hrs of Vintage TV faturing an episode of: Jack Benny Show, One Step Beyond, You Bet Your Life, Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Red Skelton Show, Dragnet, Milton Berle Show, This is Your Life, Andy Griffith Show, Mr & Miss North, Soupy Sales Show and more. Gotta love the internet, and the stations like THIS and MeTV for keeping this type of classic television around for those of us who appreciate it. Mr. Ed, Patty Duke Show, Beverly Hillbillies and all of them.

I have been so tempted by things on QVC - but after researching - I can always (easily) find the item at a better price somewhere else.

It is hard to resist that impulse to buy though, LOL

I too would never buy any electronic from QVC, in fact just recently bought some scrapbooking supplies and was disapointed on two of them, but not worth sending back. I try to compare what they are selling and what I have recently seen in the stores.
There quality does not seem as good as it was several years ago.

I have not ordered a tv but I did get my computer from them and I order about everything I buy from there. It saves the time of going out shopping and UPS is a great delivery, he puts them inside the door for me and I don't have to haul them home and then bring them into the house. I love ordering from them. You can always see different ideas without having to look in thousands of stores for the ideas.

I have been suckered into buying from them a couple of times, and am usually disappointed. Their shipping and handling is also very expensive. There are lots of cheaper places to buy on line. For tvs, try Circuit City on line. They also deliver and set it up for you.

I bought a few pieces of jewelty from QVC years ago. Then my friend (a fellow female,now ex-friend) begged me to use my QVC account to buy herself a ring. She never paid me back and I've been afraid to order on QVC since. She may have run up other bills .Not exactly identitry theft, because I voluntarily gave her my info, but it just doesn't seem right,either.

I've bought from QVC and finally gave it up. Some of the jewelery is nice, but otherwise I was never thrilled with the merchandise. Shipping is expensive, and if you have to return the item, that's another expense. With something like a TV, you are better off shopping locally. IMHO.

Check out CostCo. They have Aquos tv's there and they have a great return policy.
