speed queen ate50 stackable, wdyt?
Comments (4)SparklingWater, the old tank of a washer from Maytag has managed to keep on working! So, for now at least, I've not bought the ATE50 FL as a replacement. I see on the recent "Speed Queen Washing Machine" thread that, while not for the ATE50 FL specifically, some people who have recently bought a SQ really like it. They praise its build quality, simplicity, and performance. And it's made in the USA. A totally separate thread recommends placing FL washers on top of a livestock or horse barn mat, cut to fit the footprint of the washer, to help absorb the vibrations sometimes found with FL's. Then again, other post suggest that harsh vibrations mean the FL washer has not been leveled correctly....See MoreProblem with Speed Queen
Comments (4)I am confused. You posted this on the other thread. "So far, it hasn't ripped up clothing, so I can't figure it out." In any case something isn't right. I have a SQ TL and wash everything including antique fabrics/ linens, wool, towels and clothing with no problems. We also have a dozen machines in our business that wash big fairly delicate items in mass quantities with no issues. In addition to the weld line, make sure the agitator is pushed down all the way. I had some thing get caught under it once. What detergents/chemicals are you using? We use a lot of bleach in our business and still don't have problems but maybe that contributes. I would definitely talk to SQ and see what they have to say....See MoreSpeed Queen 2018 owners or washing machine recommendations?
Comments (42)Suseyb I am looking at something that fits my personal physical problems. The French doors are ridiculous. They look good but you need three hands unless you have the inside of the refrigerator memorized. I can’t just open a side-by-side and put a bowl in the refrigerator because they make no good side by side. Then the freezer on the bottom will cause me dizziness. If I lift something with my unusable righ hand arm, I can tear my torn rotator cuff. The Consumer Report Appliance issue disagrees with personal experiences on here. And store reports are made up. There is not one review of refrigerators on this vast, wonderful gardenweb that gives any of them high marks. Not one that has been used for two years. I know the problems in all of your appliances and whatever the real manufacturer never fixes them. Sad. The Washinton Post had an article saying just what we talk about here and all over the appliance board. Small appliance stores used to make a whole lot of money selling Maytag and whirlpool and GE profile but now they have lemons. And their high income buyers can't get a reliable product. Bosch, Sub Zero are just as bad though expensive. Tariffs are going to add another thousand onto our misery. I don't understand why they don’t fix their products. Why they don’t have quality control. I am so sorry to say this....See MoreDon’t buy Whirlpool Duet washing machine
Comments (20)I clean all heavy items, an example being a huge and thick comforter, at the laundromat. I did a batch today so I could put them away till winter and it cost over $50.00. The washing machines cost $7..25 a load and the dryers are even more expensive.. I needed 3 washing machines, for a total of $21.75 for them alone, not counting the dryers....See Moremissylin
