I like it smeared on a banana sliced lengthwise. As the filling for crepes. The middle in a vanilla wafer cookie sandwich. Instead of the jelly in a PBJ sandwich.

Alice likes it with apple slices.

My kids just smear it on their whole grain bread. We go through a couple of jars a week. The kids also like it on toast.

Ummmmmmmmmm, Nutella!!!

"Nutella was invented by Pietro Ferrero in the 1940's as an alternative to chocolate which was in very short supply because of World War 2. It is very popular in Europe and out-sells peanut butter world wide. It is available in many supermarket throughout the United States."

We like it nuked a few seconds to soften it a little, and drizzled over sliced or diced apples or pineapple tidbits.

I developed a gluten-free cookie recipe for the sorghum mill just outside of town using Nutella. It's one of our favorite cookies.

I've included a link for anyone who would like to make their own chocolate-hazel nut spread. A good way to add some 100% cacao cocoa powder to your diet.

NUTELLA WHITE SORGHUM FLOUR COOKIES

1/2 c. Nutella Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. white sorghum flour
1/2 c. dried potato flakes
1/4 c. flaxmeal
1/2 T. cornstarch
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt

Preheat oven to 325°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat Nutella and butter with an electric mixer until light and creamy. Add the sugars and beat until fluffy. Beat in egg just until mixed.

In a medium bowl, combine the white sorghum flour, dried potato flakes, flaxmeal, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix into creamed ingredients, by hand, only until ingredients are incorporated.

Using a portion scoop, make dough into 1-inch balls. Place on prepared cookie sheets.

Bake about 12-minutes. Remove cookie sheets from the oven and allow the cookies to rest on sheets for 2 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Makes 65, 2-1/2 to 3 inch cookies.

White Chocolate and Nutella Bread Pudding

Ingredients:
1/2 loaf brioche, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 vanilla bean, scraped
6 ounces white chocolate
3 ounces Nutella Hazelnut Spread
4 egg yolks
2 ounces granulated sugar
Sauce
4 ounces Nutella
4 ounces heavy cream

Place brioche in a 9-inch square pan (or larger if needed)
Heat milk, cream and vanilla bean. Temper hot liquids into the eggs yolks and sugar.

Whisk in white chocolate and Nutella until melted. Pour over brioche.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 12 minutes.
For the Nutella sauce, heat cream and whisk in Nutella until well blended. Pour sauce over baked pudding to serve.

In a pms induced haze, I put nutella between two wonton wrappers, sealed with water and fried in vegetable oil. A light dusting of powdered sugar completed the snack.

Nutella is great.... i make a NY CHeesecake and frost it with Nutella and then cover the sides with toasted crush Hazelnuts and garnish the center with a couple of whole Hazelnuts...its soooo good!

I used a dark chocolate spread sold by Cost Plus World Market as a filling for cinnamon rolls. The dark chocolate spread appealed to me more than Nutella, but I bet Nutella would be good as well. I used Ann T's cinnamon roll recipe. I spread a layer of the chocolate on the dough rectangle and then sprinkled on Ann's cinnamon filling. It made a deliciously different breakfast treat.

I agree with the spoon too. I also like it on graham crackers for a treat. How about Chocolate Pizza? Made this for dessert for a pizza party cookalong thing we did here a while back. YUM!

I became addicted to Nutella when we lived in France. It is awesome stuff. It is to peanut butter as boeuf bourguignon is to an Oscar Meyer weiner. And that's the problem - Nutella is as ''good'' for you, nutrition-wise, as a hot dog. Since I can't stop at just one spoonful, it is veeeery dangerous for me to have Nutella around the house.

If I have it in the house, I simply can't resist it. I love it on slices of a Granny Smith apple - the sweet/tart combination is so good. But when the apple is gone, I just start in with the spoon....
