We love Weber! Ours made me a BBQ person. For some reasons, steaks from Weber seem taste better than from our other grill, an expensive build-in kind.

Our Weber has a beautiful green hood. No doubt a cover is a must have.
We picked up a Weber stream-n-chips while getting the Weber grill book.
Agree! alder plank would be a nice enhancement.
No, it won't hurt by adding a barbecue rotisseries.
Wait! Should we get a converter that switches between gas and propane? Definitely, just in case.

That is a monster! I just looked at Webers yesterday as I decided that was the direction I was going in after hanging out at the Outdoor Cooking forum.

I've never cooked on an outdoor grill, that has always been DH's job but I thought that I should learn so I have been practicing on my old grill while making the big leap to a real grill. Last night I cooked baby back ribs using Tony Fatso's method (radio guy):

Tony FatsoÂs Famous Grilled Ribs

2 cups vinegar
2 cups water
1 cup salt
2 racks pork spareribs

Preheat grill to medium heat. Mix together vinegar and water in medium-sized bowl. Put salt in small bow and keep it by the side of the grill.

Wash and dry ribs. Lay the ribs meat side up, over the heat.

Take a pinch of salt and sprinkle the ribs then close the lid.

After 5 minute, baste ribs with vinegar-water mixture, reapply salt, and close lid.

Check the ribs every 10 minutes, each time flipping the ribs basting with vinegar mixture, and topping it off with salt.

After an hour, meat will pull back from bones. Keep an eye on ribs for the remaining 15 minutes. If they start to char or cause flare-ups, move them off the heat and lower the temperature.

Vacumfreak....The store where he bought it assembles them for you. No charge, but they charge you $50.00 to deliver it. It comes today, so I'm off to buy dinner for the weekend. My brother and his wife are coming for dinner. I think I shall use the Rotisserie and do a prime rib. I order a good cut from our local butcher last night. I'll take pics. Diana55

Very nice! I've had a Weber Genesis (a baby compared to this) for about 6 or 8 years now and I just love it. I love the flavorizer bars, no flare ups no matter what you are cooking. And I have never had to hit the ignitor more than once to start the grill, when my BIL starts his cheap gas grill he usually just uses a lighter because his ignitor never works right. Enjoy your new toy! Hope you have good weather for the weekend so you can spend plently of time playing!

Congrats Diana you're gonna love that burner on the right. I use it on hot days when I don't want to heat up the kitchen.

I keep forgetting to use indirect heat - keep the burner UNDER the food on low!

Someone here gave me grill wipes (hanging head in shame, can't remember who) and they are GREAT
