Go to Ebay, you can get all QVC items there at way lower prices. I've attached a link with Tignanello brand brown bags. I love the first one in the list.

Tignanello has pretty soft leather. I've never owned one so I can't say much about the construction and durability. You can find them at Macys, Boscovs.. and maybe Bonton? They may not have the same style but you can check out the quality.

If I was going to spend between 100-200, I'd go to the Coach outlet (there's one in Hershey--but the Lancaster store has more to offer. I know that's a long haul for you-- but if you are in the area, it's worth a stop.) Coach has so many styles and colors.. and I have coach bags that are 15 yr old. They last forever, the hardware is good and solid.

I've never spent over $50 on a handbag, but one of my favorites was a Tignanello I bought at eBags.com. I currently use a Tignanello wallet that I love.

Seems kind of low-to-mid-priced to me -- being leather, based on some prices I've seen recently at Macys and even Kohls. Not that I spend a lot of money on purses; I don't like spending a lot for anything!

Have you checked out the bag's dimensions?

Def. check out eBags -- lots of variety.

And Kohls, too, if there's one near you. I've found that in my "advanced years" I really need to see things in person.

Shee, I've bought a couple of Tignanello bags from QVC and I liked all of them. Very well made.

I recently purchased a dark navy London Fog purse from QVC. What's funny is I look at every website out there for new purses, but I always come back to QVC!

On the QVC website, copy the exact name of the purse, then do a google search on it to see if you can get a cheaper price/S&H on it.

One day I too was fed up with my purses falling apart so I bit the bullet and bought a beautiful Dooney & Bourk bag, $250. (DH still has no idea, lol) While it's perfect, it is SO heavy.

If it's a purse you really like, with good reviews, don't sweat the S&H.

I have a black Tignanello that I bought 15 years ago at TJ Max for $99. I think it was originally twice that. I'd never heard of the brand before then.

It's my go-to work bag, so it gets used 5 days a week. It's still going strong. It's a lovely soft leather, but the leather is fine--no major scratches, no rips. And the dye is not just on the surface, so the tiny scratches that do occur don't show up.

I have gotten some great deals at ebags too-- but I am with PammyFay, I like to check out a purse in person.

I have gotten some GREAT deals at the Bonton in the last week. I didnt look at purses but they have at least 25% off just about everything through tomorrow. I don't usually shop there so it wasn't on my radar. I went to help my mom with her shopping and I ended up picking up many gifts!

My daughter and I both have a Tiganello purse. They are work horses and look like brand new after several years of use. I throw mine around and it still looks great.

I have several Coach purses, but $ for $ I think that the Tiganello are better made and longer lasting. My Coach purses after a year or two look a little haggard with fabric wearing, etc. Plus I feel like I need to be very vigilant about where I set them down etc.

Tiganello also seems to have the proportions right which I can't say about Coach recently. Most of the Coach purses seem to have skinny short straps that aren't very practical in every day use.

Shee, with carrying a baby and living in a colder climate, you would appreciate the length of the Tiganello straps. They make them long enough to actually put on your shoulder over a winter coat.

I got both of ours at TJMAxx but Macy's carries them also. I consider my purse a great investment.

I have found that even fairly expensive bags can get worn looking- It's not like they last forever- so I wouldn't spend more on a bag than you can afford to chuck after two years.
That said, I don't think 99 is much for a great bag.
Now, if you could find a 200+ bag on sale for 99, that would be much better.

I'm with you Shee - I don't like to spend alot on a purse. 1) there are other things I'd rather spend the money on, 2) I don't want to carry the same purse for years, so don't really care if one lasts that long, 3) I like a variety of purses

One of my biggest problems is that I am short/petite and so many of the bags are BIG and look awful on me. I like small bags - I don't carry a bunch of STUFF around in a purse. I prefer a bag that is not a shoulder bag.

I can't speak for the Tignanello bags. If I were you, I'd probably look at some in person first, then try to find the best bargain be it online, somewhere like TJ Maxx,etc.

A good shoe repair store can re-dye a leather handbag, if all that's wrong is that it is scuffed and scratched. They can also re-sew straps that have come loose, or re-stitch a seam.

While I love the older, leather Coach bags, the newer ones are mostly fabric. Fabric will show age and wear a lot more quickly than good quality leather. Fabric frays and gets dirty more easily.

I spotted an older Coach bag being carried by someone at work the other day. When I asked her, she thought the bag was 25 years old. The leather wasn't shiny, in that it had developed a patina, but the hardware was fine, the strap was still strong, and the color of the leather was still good. The newer Coach bags? I'm not sure they have the same quality.

Funky - I don't ever remember seeing them in department stores. I'm going to keep my eyes out now.

My mind automatically goes to fabric when I hear Coach. Probably because I see the fabric knock offs everywhere. I've actually never been to the Hershey outlets. It's always been one of those places to go 'one of these days'.

I also wanted to say I did read some good reviews on QVC for some of the Tig bags. The ones that weren't good were usually related to design. The bag I was looking at only had one review and it could've been more specific. I also wasn't 100% sure I liked the white stitching. It wasn't the one.

Glad you found something you like! I have definitely seen Tig in the area-- I bought one for my mom (from Boscovs, maybe?). I've also seen them at TJMaxx.

I only buy leather coach bags.. and I am tough on my bags. I stopped swapping purses out about 4 yrs ago when I got my ipad. I had just gotten a great deal on a black soho bag at the outlet-- and my ipad fits in it perfectly! Soon after, I got a great deal on a matching bucket tote. I've carried them both ever since.

I have several Tignanello bags. I like to switch my bag out every few months and seasonally. The Tig bags are very nice leather for the price. I get mine at Macy's or TJ Maxx, usually for under $100.00. The bags have printed linings and good pockets for glasses, phones, keys, etc. Pretty colors too.

I have one I found at TJ Max a few years ago. It has become my everyday bag. Its a soft yellow leather that stays remarkably clean. The best part is that it has 2 pockets on the outside. Perfect for my cell phone, reading glasses and oversized sun glasses.

There's a Coach outlet about 40 mins away from me, so I stop in on occasion. Can't persuade me to buy one there yet! They've allbeen so blinged out and in horribly bright colors. The prices weren't that much better than a Macy's sale either. Found one I would consider but it was $300-and I didn't like it enough to spend that.

Have seen the tiagnello bags on QVC and flirted with getting one but I am sooo picky about bags. I have dozens and change up frequently-just can't find the perfect one!!

I have several Coach bags as my daughter buys them for me and I love the cloth as I have back issues and leather is too heavy for me but the latest one she bought me is not pleasant to wear. The straps are short and when I tuck the big bag under my armpit (yeah really short straps)I can't drop my arm down without it sticking about 8 inches away from my body. I hate this bag but I wear it when I go out with her. lol Having just the right bag is so important. I loved the last one she gave me but it was black and is fading fast. Oh well, Xmas is coming, she'll give me another lol.

I had a Coach purse I loved, but after 4-5 years of daily use it was getting warned. I did look their first, but not a pattern or style I wanted. I was in Macy's one day and saw the Tignanello bags. Ended up purchasing the one linked below. It is very soft and has all the pockets, etc I want in a bag (I don't carry much, but what I do carry I want to be able to find quickly!).

I also purchased a MICHEAL Michael Kors handbag that day. I'm using it now (minus the large, MK brass tag). Both were on sale. I had a coupon and know it wasn't good on the MMK bag, but maybe the other. Also had a $25 certificate Macy's had sent me (Macy's card) and I always do the Thanks for Sharing program they have each year, so my purchases will be credited towards that certificate sent in January.

You'll love the bag, Sheesharee. I usually will compare/shop online, but with bags I wanted to be dang sure it was what I wanted. In the past, if I didn't get then couldn't find the bag online, I'd go back and they would be gone.

I have not bought a Tignanello purse yet. I also see them fairly cheap at TJ Maxx & Marshalls & so far; I like B Makowsky better. One thing to do would be to watch the bags on QVC to see if some leathers are exclusive to there like B Makowsky. The way that I shop is that I know he has stopped giving certain leathers to stores; so if I want them; I have to jump on them at QVC & pay the price. Pink; purple & animal prints are really hard to find

What do I need to do for maintenance? Do I need to apply a leather conditioner often?

Black is my favorite color to wear but I don't normally care for black bags. However, I also really like this one I saw on ebay. I think it's a combination of the shape and the brown trim that's appealing to me. If I wouldn't have already purchased the brown one, I'd bid on this bag.

The bag came today and I really am happy with it. The size and straps are perfect. I think it's a very good for my everyday use. I somehow missed the fact that the lining was satin. Is this typical of all Tignanello bags?

Do I need to apply a leather conditioner to the bag often? Only if it starts to look dry/cracked?

I wanted to add that I'll be buying real leather handbags from now. I thought some of my faux bags looked pretty convincing but not so much when putting them beside the real thing.

Just an FYI on Coach vs. Coach OUTLET bags: like so many companies do now, Coach has a different line for the Outlet stores. It's not just overstock or past seasons of the first-tier merchandise. I don't know that there is any one thing that is "different", but rather a variety of things (leather and/or hardware quality, lining quality, assembly quality, etc.), along with factory-only designs. If there is an "F" in the serial number, it's an outlet-line bag. Most outlets carry primarily that line, with maybe one cabinet that has close outs of the first-line bags.
