I commented on this thread a while back when I was trying to decide between the silgranite white or a darker color. I really wanted white because I thought it'd be prettier but I was afraid of the potential staining problems. Well I went for it and got the silgranite super single sink in white from home depot online. Even though the pictures don't show it, I bought the matching grate as well. I think the grate is a good investment as it protects both the sink and your dishes if you happen to drop them. It's been about 7 months now and I'm still so happy with my choice. I haven't had any problems with staining. I am careful with it as I would be with any item that cost me $300+ but I don't feel it's extreme. I always rinse out the sink after I use it and do at least a weekly clean with a liquid soft scrub unless I've done a lot of cooking. I have a bunch of microfiber cloths I got from Amazon that I use to wipe off any water spray on the counters' edge by the sink. I am meticulous about this because I have very hard water. Overall I love this sink. It's functional and beautiful.

carol-my sink is now around 10 years old. No chips or any problems. Just take a minute before retiring for the night to use sponge with water and some Dawn or Bon Ami or Bar Keeper's Friend to wipe down. I also use Johnson's Baby Oil maybe once a month to give it that shine like it had when first installed. I also have the sink guard that I ordered from day 1 which helps to protect the sink IMO. Here are 3 pics that I took today. First shows sink-washing down with well water. 2nd shows after some drops of baby oil or mineral oil to give the sink that shine of newness. Last pic shows sink prep done with sink guard in place. Of course when I look at pics of this sink when first installed around 10 years ago it now looks like it's been used. Even though I have a dishwasher since there is just my husband and myself I find myself washing dishes in this sink on a almost daily basis. I think it still looks great for its age and I'm still happy I got it. Hope this helps with your decision. My sink is a Blanco silgranit.

Regarding the size - it looks more huge in the box than it does once it is installed. Once installed, you will wonder how you ever managed before with a smaller sink. On the color - every Silgranit Biscuit I've seen looks like the cream color in the photo that Sandesurf posted. Perhaps as you said your sink's color looks different right now because it's in the box. When it is out of the box, if it still looks that way, return it. Blanco has good customer service - you could call them and explain that your sink came in an odd color.

I'm probably buying a sink with this new color (it looks like a nice "cool" shade in the color spectrum, to match the light blue glass tiles). I went to 3 stores and couldn't find a sample. They promised to mail me one!
