I actually wound up ordering them from a local store. Any of the on line sites I found were about the same price and in the end, I'd rather buy local. I ordered both 9" and 6" pulls. The 9" were about $12 and the 6" I think $8. I have no idea how that pricing compares with other cabinet hardware. I only need 9 as it's for a bathroom vanity.

Have Ikea ones, been using them since September - no snags at all, with the sole exception of once managing to get my iPod earbud wire tangled up. Now I make sure to tuck that inside my shirt.

I also worried about the bar pulls snagging my clothes as in my old kitchen. No more, I got Liberty bar pulls that are similar to the ones Malhgold pictured. I ordered online from Westlund Distributing. 52 (all 5") pulls cost me $250.

We opted against them for one reason only: on a bank of drawers they look like a ladder and I have two small children. I do like the look and if my children had been older I wouldn't hesitate to put them on.

There was a good thread on this a little while ago, but I can't find it when I search. Most said there was no problem, but one woman said she had bruised herself and I have managed to tear two "chefs" pants that have wide pockets (I still really like my pulls that I got at Ikea). Another person had pointed out more or less counter overhang can be an important factor in whether or not they tend to "catch".

This is such an awesome forum. I logged on to look for something else (about lighting) and saw this - and I too have been wrestling with the same question, so it's great to see feedback.

It looks to me like the "tee's" on the end are very small, possibly so small as to not cause this problem (catmom, if you see this, give us a holler and let us know please!) - however, the problem with these is expense. $22 per for the small ones and I need mostly large ones; I did find them for $14 somewhere and will keep looking. (Thanks pharoah, I'll try ebay...)

Meanwhile, I'm curious if anyone can comment on their experience with this smaller doo-hickey on the end. Thanks.

I like mine, also from Ikea...the price was right, about $2-4 per pull. They're fine on 36 wide cabinets.

One thing that concerns me about them (and I love the look, but am still in the planning stages of our house) is that they're going to difficult to switch out with something else in the future, should they go out of style. Odd hole spacing, you know?

No regrets here. I caught the drawstring of sweatpants on them once or twice, but it is a rarity, and I wear baggy clothes a lot. My granite overhang is a little over an inch, which probably helps.

I love my pulls which are easy to use and look great, but they do catch on my pockets a few times a week. You could ameliorate this by having more of a counter top overhang (my situation ended up with very little). I wanted the pulls to line up down the run, so even the sink cabinet doors got horizontal pulls (rather than knobs or vertical pulls) and those are the ones that catch my clothes when I do dishes etc.
