Dollar General puts out their own scrubbing bubbles, which I use and LOVE IT!

I love the Dove foaming handsoap in the vanilla honey flavor. I like foaming handsoap because it doesn't just glob on your hand and you have to spread it around. The foam makes it easy to get the soap everywhere. And the scent just makes me feel really happy. They also make a body wash in this scent, but it's not foamy :)

I also love Dawn PLUS with Power Scrubbers dish soap. When I started using it, I couldn't believe how easy it was to wash the dishes. I don't know what I was using before, but I really like this soap. Plus, the bottle is ergonimic, so it's easy to hold and doesn't slip out of my hand when it's all soapy.

It's not that I like to clean, it's just that right now, two of my favorite things are soap.

I like Barilla pasta too, like the Whole grain with various different grains including oats. The texture is better than the whole wheat. I do buy both though.

I like those wipes for the house, pop one out and wipe down the sink and outside of the toilet. The last one I bought didn't have bleach in it and was, I think a Wal-Mart brand.

Nice! I'm jotting these all down.

Kath, I use the Clorox wipe-thingies, but they leave a funny film behind on my faucets and anything metal. (Maybe I'm not supposed to use it on metals?) LOL, anyway, do the WalMart ones do that?

I haven't tried the Scrubbing Bubbles becasue I'm a die-hard Comet Bathroom Cleaner gal (white plastic spray bottle with the green label/red lettering). The next time Scrubbing Bubbles is on sale I'll give it a shot.

I also like the Barilla pasta, both semolina and wheat types. I also like DeCecco pastas. They have a really wonderful nutty flavor and hold their own as leftovers.

I use Hope's Perfect Glass cleaner because I haven't found another glass cleaner that holds a candle to it. I purchase it at our local Lowe's because it's hard to find elsewhere.

I haven't tried the Scrubbing Bubbles Cleaning Gel Disks but I absolutely love Scrubbing Bubbles in a can. If I could choose only one cleaner, that would be it. We use it on stains before putting clothes in the washer. Spots on the carpet. Woodwork and of course the bathroom.

I just bought the toilet gel also. I like it, smells good too.

I bought "The Works" bleach tablets (pretty sure that is what they are called) that go in the toilet tank and am really happy with how well they work. I had more of a problem with rust stains under the bowl rim... I don't even have to clean the toilet now. They last about 3 months too. I think one tablet costs about $2.50.

I'm happy with my toilet now :-), but will try the Barilla pasta!

I like Barilla and DeCecco pastas too. Sprayway glass cleaner is great. K-14 Mildew Remover is the best.

Someone on another thread mentioned a kind of canned(?) biscuit at WalMart too.

They aren't canned biscuits, but frozen!

OK--I bought something I love from Bed Bath & Beyond. It's a little black collapsible stool, plastic. It's only about 9" high, but that's often enough to do the trick. It folds very thin for easy storage. Has saved me tons of time moving a chair or ladder to climb up to a shelf. And it was cheap, only about $10. Wish I'd had one years ago!

The Barilla pasta plant is about a mile or two from my house. Maybe they have more than one plant.

Barilla recently opened a plant in Avon, NY--upstate. I agree, their pasta is the next best thing to fresh! Their frozen pasta dinners for two aren't bad, either. Nice to have in the freezer for those quick dinners--only take about 10 minutes and one pan on the stove. We had the linguini and shrimp one last week, and it was good.
Does anyone else like Murphy's Oil Soap? It smells wonderful and cleans wood without damaging the finish. I've used it for years, and if it goes out of business, I'll be bereft!

I bought some of the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet gel. I am a firm believer that when all else fails, you read the directions. I did something wrong...didn't hear the click, whatever it was. I didn't get a nice little blob. I ended up with a nice little snake shape. I had put the entire thing on the inside of the bowl. LOL Yes...it DOES smell nice and work well.

Love Sprayway window cleaner (Thanks Flamey for the tip - won't use anything else now). I see it's at Costco now.

Also, the best "mop" or duster I've ever used is Don Aslet's microfiber wet/dry pad. It attaches to a swiffer-like pole and it is better than any mop I've ever used. I also like the absorbant mop pad - it's terrific for drying a floor that's been damp mopped.

Several of the Dawn products rate highly with me. The Dawn with Bleach Alternative seems to do a better job on white plastics and Dawn/Joy are hands-down the best dish soap out there in my book. I like the Dawn Power Dissolver for certain things too and the Direct Foam is just so handy for a couple things or for using to wash hands at the sink.

I've converted to Tide Free & Sensitive. Years ago I couldn't use Tide because it made me itch. Over the years I've found a lot of detergents that made me itch. But about a year ago I got some samples of the "new" Tide regular and Gain and tried them. No itching! I was shocked. But I couldn't stand the smell. Hate smelly detergents. So I bought some of the dye & stench free and have never had cleaner clothes. Don't need to use the Borax, Oxyclean, dishwasher detergent and other pretreaters anywhere near as much either.

Over the holidays I decided to "splurge" on some whack-a-tube biscuits and bought some Grands and some of the store brand ones (CUB). The CUB brand were excellent. I think the version was "homestyle". Usually I find the Grands to be a little greasy and these were great and were, hard to describe, not really "flaky" but it pulled off in layers.

Oh and the Swiffer duster on the extension pole. Reaches the ceiling fan, and I can do floor to ceiling without bending over and with a bad back, that's a pain relief.

Had a coupon for a free box of Pringles Stix. The only kind they had were a honey butter flavor. Wow, a new favorite snack! They're about the thickness of the old fashioned pretzel sticks, about 5" long and had a sweet and slightly salty taste. I couldn't stop eating them.

Now for one I was unimpressed with: KaBoom foaming toilet cleaner. It's a powder you put in the toilet and yes it foamed up impressively, but looks are deceiving... it didn't clean much. I went back to the bleach tablets. Couple dollars and lasts a month to two months and bleach cleans and sanitizes well. I last bought "The Works" brand since there were cheaper than Clorox, 2000 Flushes and even the Kmart house brand. One thing I notice is the lack of the heavy bleach smell the first few days of use. Not sure if it's from less bleach in them or if they have something that masks the odors. I'm not sure how I rate the performance of it yet.

Socks, is this the black step stool you were referring to? We bought it to fit in our toe kick drawer in the kitchen. It's affordable, sturdy and small. I love it!
