Please let us know that you are ok. Tornados scare the living h*ll out of me and these are are so horrible and devastating.

Not cooking related but I am hoping David is ok after all the storms in OKC. By putting this here I hope he sees this if he doesn't wander over to Conversations.

Peppi, sending you a big hug and praying you and the family are all ok.

Like Peppi, I have been thinking about our big guy and watching how close to Tulsa this devastation could get.

Are there other CF friends in the path that we should consider?

I've also been watching and hoping that David is safe and sound, along with his family and friends.

My prayers are with everyone there.

I'm glad you're okay, too, David. We were actually heading back from Tahlequah Monday night during the storms. It was sunny and beautiful when we left around 5:00 p.m. We got off late, as we usually like to leave by 4:00. It turned out to be a good thing, as the highway we were driving down interesected the path of the storms. The first storm went through ahead of us, and the second one passed by behind us, so we were quite lucky. From what I've heard, the worst of the weather passed just south of where my home is up there, but I won't be able to inspect the place until this weekend. Sally

Oh dear, now this was fun, untangling the web! Sharon, I should have known they were from you, but I was waiting for a box with Alexa's address on it, so I was confused. I guess it's easy to confuse me. At any rate, the pickles are already gone and they were delicious! coconut, I'm lucky I got elery to put that bitten pickles down long enough to take a picturre of it! Thank you, Sharon, they're delicious. Thank Clive too, for making me stop and think for a minute. Or longer! Hey, remember, you're talking to the woman who was waiting on the wrong train platform in Toronto, so the wrong address on the box is nothing! Annie

Dang, Carol, I KNEW I forgot something. It was the Silly String. Carp! Thanks, Donna, but I found some at the mediterranean store. A day too late, I'd already made the hummus, LOL, and vowed to not buy anything until I cleaned that packed-to-the-shelves pantry! As for leftovers, I have to admit that the hummus stayed at my house, along with the end of the bruschetta, the last of SharonCB's salmon pie and a bit of Linda's Wild Rice Soup. Darn it, I deserve SOME leftovers! Annie

Moni appears to be OK, she has posted on the KT.

There is also tornado damage in Kansas - not as much as Oklahoma however. Isn't that where Grainlady is?

Oh good, now I'll just wait to hear from David and anyone else there. What a horrible storm....

I just posted on Conversations...I need to hear from our big guy. I pray that all is well with David and his gang. I've tried to reach him by e-mail but no luck yet.

David, If you see this message we are thinking of you and your family. I hope all is well.

RR, I sent an email too, I'm hoping he just has no connection or no time or no power.

Same with Grainlady and everyone else in that area, I'm hoping they'll all check in soon.

Me too! Please keep me in the loop! Has Tulsa been hit too?

If he lives in Tulsa he is probably OK. All of eastern OK has been under tornado watch, tornado warnings, flood watch, flash flood warnings, some areas have had high winds, rain, hail, and of course all of the terrible damage. Of course the horrible tornado today was in Moore which is very central, then it traveled in the direction of Tulsa, but had lost most of it's strength before it reached that area. The Sunday tornado hit Little Axe and near Shawnee which are between the OKC and Tulsa area, and Edmond which is north of OKC. Another property damage tornado on Monday started north of Tulsa and traveled NE into Missouri. Small ones just seemed to pop up all over.

I live northeast of Tulsa near the Missouri state line and at the moment the warnings are mostly for Flood Warning and Flash Flood Watch for the entire eastern half of the State. There are still a few thunderstorms, but it looks like tonight will be quite, but we still have a few threats for tomorrow.

We were in an RV on Saturday night and after experiencing a heavy thunderstorm that night, and knowing more storms were coming, we returned home where we have a safe room.

I believe both Moni and her daughter are fine, but the Sunday tornado was VERY close to her daughter's home.

    Oklahoma needs your prayers.

I was watching the coverage on TV tonight. My heart is heavy and my thoughts and prayers are with you OK.

The loss of life and devastation is beyond comprehension. I know our friends on the northeastern coast are still in recovery mode from Sandy so seeing this must be hard on them.

    I'm praying for Oklahoma.

I too am waiting to hear from David.

Thinking of you, uncle David. And keeping positive thoughts for you, your loved ones, and all who have been impacted by this horrific event.

I was just thinking - Martha (Linderhof1208) is in Kansas also. I just sent her an email.

Jerry's family all lives in Moore, but miraculously, all his immediate family, and most of his extended family are okay. One is missing, but we don't know if she was even in the area, or if people just don't know where she is. She was helping someone move when the tornado hit. Jerry's sister works at a school that was about a half mile from where the tornado hit. They were just about to release the students for the day when things went bad, so they were hunkered down until parents were able to come pick up the kids. Many of her students lost their homes. It's so sad, beyond sad.

I hope David checks in soon. I have been watching the tv coverage and it is almost too awful to comprehend. I can't imagine what it is like to find your home completely flattened and blown away. Of course, it is the injuries and loss of human life that is by far the worst. I hope that more of the missing are found well.

I bet David does not have power, but I do hope he checks in soon.

Oh good. I've been holding my breath. The devastation is just horrendous. My heart goes out to them all.

Thank goodness, I'm so relieved to hear that. Thanks, Ann T.

Sally, I'm glad Jerry's family all came though unscathed and I sure hope that one "missing" family member is simply somewhere else.

someone needs to chime in singing .... It's a small world after all..............â« âªâ«

'cause she works at David's office and AnnT has his work number. At least that's what I did a few years ago.

Sending prayers for Sally's & Jerry's family in Moore, especially for the missing woman.

Tomorrow is the second anniversary for the Joplin tornado. For the size of this tornado in OK, I think we are relatively lucky, despite the tragic loss of lives that did occur. I hope that this does not portend another devastating tornado season this year.

I'm glad that David is okay, but I figured that he would be okay in Tulsa, but the tornado paths can be long. I didn't know much about this until I saw the evening news.

I got an email back from Martha. No serious weather for them but lots of rain.

I hope we hear from Grainlady and any others in the central midwest soon.

Grainlady has recently posted on the salt thread.

Thank you for pointing that out compumom. I just got home from work and have not done much online.

Thank y'all so very much for checking in on me and my family/group. I've been out of town working and just got home a hour or so ago. Debi, my sis did text me that Ann had called this morning checking in....I remember you calling years ago for some swap info for the riverrat. : )

It's good to know you have friends from around the world thinking about you and your family and friends.

We do have some in our circle of friends and employees that have been affected by this. Thankfully everyone is alive and well minus the damage and or loss of homes. My thoughts and prayers are there for everyone in the damaged areas over the last several days.

Sally, I hope you hear from your missing family member soon and I'm happy to hear the rest of the family is okay for the most part.

Peppi, thanks for the post and concern my friend, and Ann for the phone calls. This forum and it's members are the best. I will reply to all of the emails in the next day or two and REALLY appreciate all of them and your concern.

I really miss being here as of late but we have had some major family issues and concerns that have taken up much of my/our time and life in general.

Thanks again all y'all!!! Love and peace to everyone!

(((David))) We are glad to hear you are okay. Keeping tabs on the weather, I felt you were okay and were just being the busy guy that you are. Sorry to hear about the family issues and hope they can be resolved.

Knowing how busy you are, don't bother responding to my email--just needed to know you were out of that horrible disaster.

David, I'm glad you're okay, although I knew Tulsa wasn't hit. I hope your family situation improves.

Jerry's cousin was finally accounted for. She and her daughter were heading over to her mother's house to make sure she was okay, but had to take shelter and couldn't make it all the way there. One of Jerry's brothers was able to get in touch with her. The older cousin, the mother that they were checking on, is okay, but her yard is full of debris, and she's probably going to need a new roof. So many people need so much more.

    Sally

Good to hear from you. Thanks for checking in. I'm glad all is well, weather-wise. I hope the family issues/concerns resolve themselves in a good way. Take care and keep an eye on the weather reports.

Sally, that must have been so scary under the circumstances!!

Sally, I'm just glad everyone is safe and sound.

David, my dear, you can answer my email or not, I just wanted to hear that you were safe and sound, and that your family was also.

Hugs to you and your friends, family and employees, my thoughts are with you all.

(((((David))))So good to hear from you. Thank you for checking in...we will always be connected forever.

I remember you checking on us when we had our Hurricane Rita and the concern you guys had for us. It really is an overwhelming feeling of love.

I'm so glad you and your gang are ok.

David, it was so good to hear you were okay. It was good to hear that Grainlady and and Jerry's family are safe as well. I'm still waiting to hear from my nephew who lives in Moore as does his family. We've even checked and left messages on Facebook pages, but nothing yet. Prayers have been going out to everyone in the areas hit by the tornadoes. even if they haven't had a loss themselves, I'm sure they are devastated by the loss of others.

Oh, dear, bcskye, I hope all your family members check in soon, although there are probably many things that aren't working yet.

I'll keep them in my prayers, and hope to hear that they are safe.

    Annie

Aye, here we go again! David and others in the affected areas, please check in!

It just missed Jerry's family again, but came way too close to his brother's house. His sister has fence damage.

When the warnings were made yesterday morning that this storm was going to develop, my sister-in-law said she felt sick to her stomach at the thought of going through it again. I'm sure she was not alone in that sentiment.

    Sally

Thank you, Annie. I'm still waiting to hear from him.

bcskye, I sure hope he checks in soon, I'd be worried crazy.

My thoughts are also with David and everyone else there, I'm hoping to hear that everyone is safe and sound after this second round of tornadoes.
