Excellent thread topic/idea! MSN has 'Groups' that is set up by one person and that person can give another person or two access to the Owner Options. I belong to a private decorating group on MSN. The owner of the group can make the group private or public. The site has room for lots and lots of photos if each person posts their own. The Owner of the MSN group could make catagories on the Group site ie; reno, new build, mosaic, marble, granite, budget,floor heat, etc. I'd offer to do it but I have a very unstable computer at the moment---something to do with firewall conflict or somethingorother. I'd hate to start the group and then not be able to get in! LOL All someone would need to do is go to MSN, then go to GROUPS, register (free) and then start a group and follow the instructions. Set up the options you want and then send out invites. I sure hope someone can as I know how valuable it would have been for me when trying to perform magic with my own bathroom reno--purse out of a sow's ear it's not, but I was looking for any reno bathroom photo I could find, spending hours and hours doing searches. Having photos here in the gallery and in one other spot would have made it so easy for me and I'm sure so many others. Oceanna, a poster I see regularly on the Home Decorating site here at GW is really great at putting together galleries of photos. She's done it on the Decorating Forum, on the Gallery side and it gets rave reviews. I'm sure it was a lot of work for her, a lot of time but the results, the inspiration --- so appreciated!

I'm not guilty (yet) but will be because a few items will be outliers. I'm working on a family room, entry hall and formal living room also. The big items in the family room are the ceiling and doors The big items in the kitchen will be the backsplash and pantry doors, plus me figuring out what to do with a regular sized fridge in a Subzero sized hole for the time being. Holding up the entry hall and formal living room are the entry hall flooring, new front door/sidelight, and grasscloth wallpaper. On top of all of this, the tenants are moving out of our ~1920 foursquare on 8/1 and getting that turned around and ready to rent will be a super high priority. But on the plus side, there's another kitchen thread out of it! Anyone who hates cheap early '80s kitchens will love this. It seems as though the work is never done.

Read Me!". ~ angela12345 - I'm quite surprised that blogger's dynamic views isn't supported on mobile devices. I believe there are workarounds but I'm satisfied for now that the main page is viewable. I'll look into problems with the dynamic views in the future. I realize the importance of the categories in the FKB... and there will be dozens of categories in the new FKB. In the beginning you'll need to search to locate kitchens with a certain granite, etc. Once it gets going I will add single-level categories. One good thing is that a search from the main page now will list kitchens with their photos. I tried to add the alphabetic kitchens to the main page but it involves a code hack, so it will need to come later. I also liked the way the A's were grouped together, then the B's; it was so easy to find a kitchen. But creating the grouped list of kitchens was a manual process in the old FKB. I'm trying to streamline the work for the new FKB so will not be grouping them. Sorry... hope the automated list is sufficient. Oh, one nice feature of the automated list is that it's easy to search the page.... I think this makes it easy to find a specific member's kitchen.) And I realize the names aren't really alphabetical since the automated listing separates capital and lowercase member names. I will fix that. Yup, the main page displays one thumbnail for every kitchen in the FKB (the "main" photo). They are shown as Last-in/First-out, meaning the newest kitchen is displayed first. If you can get to the last displayed kitchen you'll see it belongs to Kacee2002; hers was the first kitchen added to the FKB back in 2005. Also note that the dynamic views may show more than just the "main" photo for each kitchen. This usually also includes a backsplash photo.
