Oh, I love the Tudors! It's the only show my husband and I watch together. lol. Did you know this is the 500th anniversary of Henry becoming King?

There are some excellent books on him, the one's by Allison Weir are perfect. She writes it so the reader can actually understand what happened back then, and she's done a lot of research.

Team Katherine! lol Don't you just love the actress who plays Katherine? All the acting and actors are superb.

I'm still on season 1 of Greys, for some reason the local station did repeats last Sunday night, I got so mad because I was looking forward to a new episode!

No, I haven't gotten to the boyfriends past yet. If they keep repeating it, I'm going to buy the darn series! lol.

I do love the character of Katherine, a combination of optimism and fatalism. Her being kept from her daughter has just killed me, tho. The king's idea that they'd team up and create their own movement against the king reflects another side of Henry--paranoia. A lot of little pieces from episodes before that start to fill out the picture. I have always loved Sam Neill, so I was pleasantly surprised to see he had a lot of screen time! And this series is a costumer's dream, no?

Oh, the clothes they wear! Did you know it's filmed in Ireland, and Jonathan Rhys Meyer is Irish? When the show comes on, I tell my dh "it's time to watch King Hotness." lol.

This past season (3rd, I think), was really a let down. The women aren't as interesting.

I sooo hope they don't end the series with Henry's death. I'd like them to go through the other Tudors and have them end it when Elizabeth takes the throne.

I had always heard of "Bloody Mary" but had no idea it was Henry's daughter!

A friend went to London this summer and brought me back items from the Tower. What a sad place that is.

Pammy (I'm a Pammy too!), I just started the book "The Children of Henry VIII" by Alison Weir, which I forgot I had, and it's excellent.

She goes into real historical detail about how the kids were raised, their relationships with each other, with Henry, and the various mothers. I had forgotten that Anne B. wanted Mary killed!

Weir is a great author, she has done so much research.

I have another book coming in December by Weir when it will be released, "The Lady in the Tower: The Fall of Anne Boleyn."

You should come over! I only have a hundred books on the subject. lol.

Heck, no!!! This series is keeping me AWAY from my books! I went through, I think, 6 episodes in one day!

I remember being in high school when "Anne of the Thousand Days" came out and I was SO not interested because I really didn't know anything about her or Henry. Ironically, I worked in the library and checked out all the English historical romances/mysteries (mostly Victoria Holt), and had someone told me I'd love the movie, I would have been hooked back then!

I ended up buying the DVD not long ago and it's great!

Oh, speaking of Grey's Anatomy, in this week's People mag, in the review section, they gave low ratings for the show for this season because of the influx of newbies.

I've loved all the characters except one. That "short" girl with the short dark hair who's coming onto Izzie's husband..can't remember his name. She gives me the creeps and I do hope he doesn't cheat on Izzie, who will be back in a few weeks!
