What is 'Creamed' Honey?

Saw it in Trader Joe's last night, but I didn't have time to really check it out as I was just running in quick before an appt. It looked yummy, but I don't really know what they mean by "creamed"?

Hi Lisa,

I found this on the Betterbee site:

Creamed honey is controlled granulation of honey which results in extremely small sugar crystals. The smaller the crystals the better the creamed honey.

Just like he describes here. It spreads like butter. Not thick like regular honey or dripping.

Honey Perfume or Honey Bouquet?

I would get Honey Bouquet. I have this one on my list for this fall. I have Honey Perfume and I am not that happy with it but, I have only had it since last spring. Our roses here in the heat of the Az desert really don't do much in the hot summers so, I will get the full effect of Honey Perfume this winter. But last spring I did get a few blooms before it turned hot. I have seen Honey Bouquet in pics and it looks so pretty, I have to have that one too. If I had to make a choice of only one of them, I would of purchased Honey Bouquet only. Carrie

Konrad said: Excellent picture and marketing strategy! How did you get the bees so nicely to stay, symmetrical on the lower portion of head? Do you need the queen or does smearing on some honey will do? Konrad My reply: Sorry, I didn't see this until today. The bee beard is sculpted using a credit card. Mostly to keep the bees out of my eyes. Not all bee beards look that good, in fact this was the best ever (which is why it's on the label.). My photo with a bee beard was published in a british bee book two or three years ago. :-) see a bunch of other bee beard photos at my website. And... don't do it anymore. The last time was a year ago August. Here is a link that might be useful: Bluffwood Creek Honey (look for the link on bee beards)

Edible, believe it or not I plan on thinking about that when the time comes. I'm rather superstitious.. I feel like if I were to plan my entire kitchen out now, I'd probably jinx myself and it'll never happen, but my idea for tile is something neutral like this. beachem, thanks for the advice. I believe I have a southeast facing kitchen. We have a forest in that area too which is why it's so dark. The entire house is a cave except for a couple of the bedrooms on the top floor.

Oh wow.... now there is something else I want.... that is absolutely stunning. Do you think there is a lack of fragrance because of it requiring different nutrients. Strawchicago has given some great information on fragrance and nutrients.... or is it just one of those roses that you can't just smell anything I have a problem smelling Fragrant Cloud. It is my husband's favorite rose.... I can't smell a thing even when other's faun over it.

I never knew how to make it, but I like it. The stuff I've had is thick and smooth, like butter, and doesn't drip off my toast as quickly.

That's interesting, how they make it.

Is creamed honey the same as spun honey? The description sounds the same. I love spun honey! I remember honey and peanut butter sandwiches as a kid. Plain spun honey and cinnamon spun honey! MMmmm mmmm!

Wow! Those links are fascinating! Who knew lol?

I just assumed it was honey that had some kind of dairy product mixed in!

Next time I'm in TJ's I'm going to have to pick some up and check it out! I've never seen it anywhere else.

I was never a huge honey fan, but ever since I started eating that thick Greek yogurt with honey mixed in, I've become more of a fan.

The same as "whipped" honey?

the link says no on whipped or spun, that is, it shouldn't have air in it. Interesting.
