Who wears Dansko clogs??? Or Earth shoes

I have a pair of Dansko's that are about 10 or more years old. I use them for work I stand alot and they really do help my feet. My younger DD is a HS English teacher and stands way more than me and she has several pairs and loves them too.

I got two Nordstrms GC's for Christmas and they total enough to buy a pair~~I just can't decide on the style. I do not want them for work these will be for everyday~~.

Who wears Earth shoes?? DD wants a pair I try them on but hate the big toe look:( I hear they are very comfy??

Maybe Keens they are rated high also on comfort???

Earth shoes are mainly very comfy. i have had several pairs of flip flops/sandals. but I try to stay away from the really big fat soled ones.

I also have the Earth shoe flip flop sandals. My feet feel great when i wear them. The only problem is that i have really small feet(5 1/2) and very few stores will carry that size.

I can't stand the top of my foot being cold so I seem to go right from boots into sandals. By the time it's warm enough for my foot to be exposed, I might as well wear sandals. I do have a few pairs of mules that provide some top of the foot coverage but they aren't as chunky as clogs so they look a little nicer for the 2 days a year it's too warm for boots but too cold for sandals. They're old so I can't link any pictures to show you what I mean. They held up well because they spent most of their life in the box. I just spent way too much time looking at Mules on the Nordstrom site. It's great because you can pick by heel height and price range. Maybe you can get some inspiration there. I'm starting to think about what shoes I'll need for my European vacation. It's complicated - packable, comfortable, good for either hot days or cool rainy ones, the right heel height for my pants, etc.

I have three pair and love them. The two strap style comes in the largest range of colors...I have a light brown leather pair and am going to get a red pair. I also have a white thong style that I love and some clogs with a strap. I wear those all winter long with socks. Birkies require a break in period....sort of like getting used to contact lenses. Not only can they be stiff at first, your feet might need some time to adjust. My feet complain after a while with some shoes.....not so with my birkies.

I have been icing and doing exercises. A friend gave me a "boot" he had with PF. I cannot wear this thing to bed - it is huge! - but I have been wearing it at home when I am sitting. It is still extremely painful, but not as bad as it was a week ago. I am going to just keep up with what I am doing - and see what happens. I have not ruled out seeing a podiatrist or a cortisone shot if needed. I am awaiting the Sketchers Shape-ups I ordered. I have a pair now, but they are shot. They seem to take pressure off the heel as you rock more toward the ball of your foot. They may help as well. I just came in, having been gone a good part of the day, and while painful, I can still walk!! Tib, from what I read on that website, the insole is something you can buy to replace one in the shoes. If the one you have wears out, you can remove it and buy a replacement. I did not get the idea that you could buy the insoles and use in other shoes - but I might be wrong.

I never go barefoot in the house, ever. First thing in the morning my feet go into the shoes by the bed and they don't come off until I'm ready to go to bed at night. If I were to go barefoot I'd have a backache within a minute! Around the house I wear Alegria slides, which have around 2" heels. I have a lot of pairs, as I love Alegrias! The wedge heel is very comfortable and the footbed conforms perfectly to my feet. If I go out I wear either dressier Alegrias or my pink and gold sneakers or a pair of plain-ish pumps. I'm fairly particular about what goes on my feet - my grandfather owned a shoe store and also made and repaired shoes, and my mother was adamant about wearing shoes that fit well and looked good. People who visit can do whatever they wish concerning what's on their feet. Barefoot or stilettos or workboots - whatever makes you happy! Sable

I would love to have a pair of Dansko's--
Does anyone know who else carries them besides Nordstroms? The nearest Nordstrom's is about 60 miles away from me!!

You can find Dansko's on ebay. I have a pair of earth shoes(clogs) I bought at walmart. They are very comfortable for my problem feet.

Zappo's also has Dansko's lots of the nicer shoe stores carry them or track and trail type stores. I am going on the Nordstroms website and see if they have Earth shoes. I know I will end up with Dansko's I love them.

I bought a pair of Danskos a couple years ago to wear to work, but they killed my heels and one of my feet at the top. I quit wearing them. $119 down the drain.

Kathy my Dansko's killed the tops of my feet in the begining too I have a high instep~~I took them to the shoe repair shop and had them stretched worked out perfect:)
