Can anybody help me find one pair of gloves?

I want to find my sister one pair of "pink" surgical or medical gloves for her 2nd year anniversery of being cancer free.

It would represent the "Pink Glove Dance" that has so warmed her heart. This was videotaped in our home town of Portland Oregon. St Vincents hospital did this dance in hopes of raising money for breast cancer awareness.

She has been MY rock through all of HER ups and downs, and I would love to surprise her with a pair.

I have googled and found boxes of them, but just need one single pair. Any ideas?

@fpmom... (this is not to sound like a smart ass question) Have you ever owned a front load washer before? I ask because in some areas of the country, you may have hard or very hard water. Hard water with it's higher mineral content can play a number on washing machines and your clothes. If not enough detergent is used in hard water, limescale can build up along with other gunk and mold. Mold is easier to control by using HOT washes on a regular basis (not only once in a while). Or do a "Clean" cycle at least once a month (or more often) with bleach and NO detergent. Liquid bleach will also kill mold and should be used in a "White" cycle or in an empty machine's "Clean" or Hot wash cycle. Do be sure to use ONLY "HE" laundry detergent. If possible do try to leave the door open after a cycle to let the drum dry out...usually 12 to 24 hours. You can also leave the additive drawer open to let that air out and dry. Unfortunately, front loaders need a little more maintenance than top loaders. Let us know what you replace your Electrolux's with and if you have better luck with the mold issue.

Oh, I feel your pain. My cat jumped on a table in the lr to look out the window (early in the morning, pleated shades down). She knocked over the lamp, broke the finial and the Kraft paper shade shattered all over the place. Just the shade was over $50 to replace. Wanted to strangle her!!!! Have you tried Home Goods, TJ or Marshalls? I often see great lamps there for little money. Here's another alternative for you from Crate and Barrel. room divider? huh? the plan is to build a wardrobe wall on the ten foot wall in my master bdrm. i have three dressers lined up there now and it looks like cr@p frankly! so, imagine a center piece of a 44 wide dresser and two tall (32 or 33" wide) cabs flanking it. over the center dresser and between the two flanking tall cabs we will install a big mirror with a bridge across the top uniting the three pieces. there is power on the wall so i have a pair of pretty sconces for the mirrored area. hope that's enough to visualise it! back to research, thanks for the tips!

I am limiting myself now to replacing what needs to be fixed or that which is a “builder’s grade eyesore” for the photos in the future listing. And I thought about replacing now, rather than later, so I can enjoy the house while I am still occupying it. My original post was about finding a replacement for my kitchen island because when we replaced the floor in the kitchen, the current one was detached from the floor (the electrical outlet was disabled) and the bottom and corners of the cart were damaged. BTW, I love the different suggestions! Also said, "What is wrong with what you have currently?" 1- counters "look good in the picture", thank you, but on a closer look, there is a burnt, a warp, and a split on the L-shaped piece. 2-pendant & 3-knobs are ok, but I thought these were the affordable fixes I could do along the “must-do” (kitchen island and counters). So houzzers, please help me find a cohesive look; your opinions help me moving along; THANK YOU ALL.

Trin- if you want something that looks more like a surgical glove you can buy Casabella latex gloves - and they're bright pink too. I buy them at Bed, Bath and Beyond but I've also found them in drugstores and the Container Store. You can also order them online. They're not expensive, I think about $4.00 a pair. Plus she can use them when she washes dishes!

Or, if she likes gardening, there are latex type gardening gloves now in wonderful colors, including pink. It isn't what you were thinking of, but she'd get good use out of them!

trinitytx, why don't you call the local hospital and see if they will sell you a pair. Tell them what you are celebrating, I bet they'd just give you some.

If you go to amazon.com and search for "pink latex gloves" some boxes of gloves come up. You don't want a box, but they aren't that expensive and they do come in handy for "icky" jobs.

But...I found some really cute ones which are hard to resist. These are fancier than surgical gloves, and she deserves a fancy pair, right? Link below.
